MamaKiddo
I've been trying to find a decent used car for my partner's birthday next month and came across what looks like a brilliant deal on a 2020 Audi Q3 s line. The advert was on eBay and I assumed I was messaging a private seller, but the reply actually came from Loughshore Logistics, a company based in Belfast, they explained that they specialise in repossessed vehicles purchased from finance and bank auctions across the UK, which is apparently why the prices are lower than dealer prices. Has anyone actually bought through/from Loughshore Logistics before?
Kiddokt
never heard of them before and not saying there is anything wrong or shaddy with them but I'd definitely do a bit of digging first
Notef
I'd be asking if you can view it first, photos can make any car look good Learnt that lesson years ago π
MamaKiddo
They are based in Belfast and I'm down in Plymouth, so popping over isn't really practical. They did say I could visit if I wanted, but they also offer nationwide delivery. What made me pause was the payment side apparently the money goes into a segregated company account and you get 14 days to inspect the vehicle once it's delivered. Sounds reassuring enough but sending that amount before seeing the car still feels like a gamble.
MagicPod
I bought a car about four months ago from them and I'll admit I wasn't convinced at first either but everything was explained step by step over the phone. Loughshore Logistics arranged delivery up to Liverpool and the car arrived 5 days later. I confirmed I was happy to keep it and that was the end of it. Bitxx
Did you have to pay the full balance before they booked delivery? That's the bit I'd struggle with
MamaKiddo
Same concern here, couple of years ago I nearly got caught by a fake Facebook Marketplace ad so I'm probably more cautious than most!
MagicPod
Yes, they wanted payment before transport was arranged. Before I transferred anything I checked the company registration and looked through everything I could find online and even phoned them twice just to make sure I was dealing with real people. RosaStyle
That's exactly what I'd do it never hurts to be cautious and do your own due diligence especially when it's your hard earned money on the line
Finestey
I bought a 2022 Kia XCeed GT-Line from them last summer. I had the same concerns to begin with, so I spoke to my bank before sending any money. They explained how the transfer worked and that there'd be a full record of everything, which put my mind at ease. The car turned up just over a week later and I honestly couldn't fault it. It was exactly what I'd expected from the advert.
Talentrews
Didn't realise companies like Loughshore Logistics even existed :)

Accomis
I actually decided to travel over to Belfast and collect mine in person because I wanted to see the car before committing to anything. It was a Lexus UX 250h I'd been looking at for a couple of days, so I thought it was worth making the trip. Loughshore Logistics gave me plenty of time to inspect it, check the documents and have a proper look around without feeling rushed. The car was exactly as it had been described in the advert, and if anything, it looked even better in person. Once I was happy, I completed the payment, sorted the paperwork, and drove it home that same afternoon. The only downside was that the 14 day money back guarantee only applies if you have the vehicle delivered, so because I collected it myself, that wasn't included. That said they still provided a 3 month engine and gearbox warranty, which gave me a bit of extra peace of mind. I hope this helps!
MamaKiddo
Thought I'd come back with an update. The car arrived this morning and my wife is absolutely over the moon with it. Honestly, I couldn't be happier as she was convinced it was a SCAM right up until the driver rang to say he was 20 minutes away! Really appreciate everyone who took the time to reply. HushedGamer
I've actually been looking at one of their Discovery 5 for the past week. Reading everyone experiences has given me a bit more confidence so I think I'll give Loughshore Logistics a call tomorrow
