  1. That one is great, too. Could you tell me the name of the manufacturer of the kit, chain, and sprockets? We only have to rule out a few things. Just like Mike mentioned earlier, we also need to consider the end caps, which are BMW terminology for rectangular rings.
  2. Would you like me to confirm if you only had the chain replaced or if you also had the guides, vanos sprockets, and everything else?
  3. The mesh may have collapsed and partially obstructed it, or perhaps the oil solenoid has failed. Someone or something connected to the common 12v (orange wire) supply might be at fault. Another possible cause is an internal breakdown of the vanos sprocket or a stretched chain that is not up to specification. Could you please tell me the mileage and whether the timing of the TC replacement with a complete OE/OEM kit was considered?
  4. Hi For a variety of ride heights, consider standard lowering springs for your vehicle. Checking the spring pads is another possibility; I've seen versions where the springs were the same but the pads under them were of varying sizes (but don't take my word for it). This allows you to drop between 5–15 mm while maintaining the same level of ride quality.
  5. Holy cow, I couldn't believe the unexpected symptoms weren't worse. It never crossed my mind to compare the old with the new when I was working nonstop. With 183k, I'm assuming these were either originally installed or replaced earlier?
  6. There is no smoke when I drive my ancient 3.0D, which has 200k miles on the odometer. After 90k miles, it's just run in, and changing the oil every 6-7k or 12 months will increase its performance by a factor of three or four.
  7. I am not asserting anything, however it has been previously documented that some individuals have experienced problems with wires chafing against injector pipes. It is not uncommon for an injector to malfunction electronically, resulting in the symptoms you are experiencing.
  8. Examine the condition of your injector wiring to ensure it is not frayed against any objects. Additionally, examine the resistance of your injector; I bet you will discover one that significantly deviates from the others.
  9. A hairline fracture in the expansion tank may be present, becoming apparent only when the engine is heated; I experienced this issue with my E46.
  10. Thank you for the information. Has all the fluid been depleted, and is the bleeding process straightforward?
  11. I am quite apprehensive about driving. Are there any online manuals available for their replacement? I could not find anything on YouTube for the F30 or F31 models.
  12. I suspected as much; is this how they typically begin to malfunction?
  13. Issue with F31 2014 2.0d After a cold start, I drove to the end of the road, halted at an intersection, but the clutch pedal became loose and lacked pressure, preventing me from engaging any gear. I manually lifted the clutch pedal and promptly regained pressure, enabling me to shift gears and continue driving for approximately a mile as if no issues existed. I am somewhat concerned it may be permanent, but I hope it is really an isolated incident. Is anyone aware of what this issue might be, or has anyone experienced a similar situation that required repair? Thank you
