Since it was sent to them by the garage from whom I purchased it, I'm taking a wild guess, but I can't be positive. Tomorrow, it will be taken to a nearby mechanic for another inspection, however I am not expecting very optimistic results 🙄.

Hello everyone, I was hoping someone could lend me a hand. There have been problems with the transmission in my 2017 W176 a200d Automatic (62k miles). Several warning signals appear on the dashboard (see images) and I suddenly lose control while driving. I had to coast to the hard shoulder because it happened the other day in the fast lane of the highway. It was not fun! It can only be started by coming to a complete stop, shifting into park, and then back into drive. At any speed and in any driving mode, this is possible. There is no engine management light and no fault codes are kept. A Merc specialist checked the software for updates, changed the oil in the gearbox, and attempted to read any problem codes (none were stored). Even with the oil change, it's still happening, so I'm scared to drive it because I have no idea when it will happen again. I would much appreciate any assistance.

Just as when you buy a car, there are other conditions. There might be a lot of problems with an unused vehicle for that amount of time. Although the later 7-speed isn't unreliable, the earlier 5-speed is famous for its extreme reliability; yet, both require proper servicing. "Excellent reviews from the service points"—what exactly does that mean?

Yes. First things first: 1. Two rear bellows that are new. 2. A system of pipes that supply air to the bellows 3. A replacement valve block. Beyond that, it has a ten-year lifespan.

One of our C-class features a 3G communications module. Thus, the 3G connection is inoperable; nevertheless, 2G is still utilised for real-time traffic. Years ago, the internet connection was supposedly "switched off," but that's a different tale. My wife may still monitor the status of our vehicle using the Mercedes Me app on her phone. This suggests that it can "speak" to the vehicle. Presumably, this is occurring over 2G. Seeing the vehicle's position and having the ability to lock it remotely are not supplementary features that we pay for. To far, my sole experience with diagnostic tools has been with OBD-II plug-in devices.

The 3G network has already closed, in my opinion; it is not "going" to close. Neither my location nor what appears to be yours has any 3G coverage.

If the torque converter is located underneath, remove the cover to check for a leak in the back crankshaft seal. The gearbox is being serviced.

There isn't much juice left in high-demand scenarios when the voltage is 11.7 volts, which is less than 30% charged. I can see how it may be low enough to cause problems; it did on mine when I was at a comparable voltage. Also, my automobile usually started the first time, but eventually it stopped. I had to get a new one because it was probably around fifteen years old.

It is not historic, and Icarsoft is not genuinely removing it, if it continues reappearing. In all likelihood, STAR/Xentry would be necessary to do a reset on an AIRmatic.

Here we have a little paradox. There must be something wrong with it if it won't get out of Sport mode?

You may find FSB-2 and the three important tools on the internet; nonetheless, I personally would not want to be his first patient, even if it was made public around ten years ago.

Though it begs the question, the industry is unfortunately moving in the opposite direction of faster speeds, even though less electricity is better.

The electrical socket that protrudes from the side of the transmission—also known as a Pilot bush—is a popular location for leaks to occur. Just one bolt and a wire connector that I can recall. They are affordable replacements. Verify that the gearbox oil is not wicking up along the wires that link to the TCU. Transmission fluid levels should be checked at 85 degrees Celsius.

Could it be corrosion or a real breakdown of the subframe? The mere presence of corrosion will not be considered. Even while some dealers might do a better job with the claim, the decision is made by Mercedes GB, not the individual dealers. Some people have had their cars that are 10 years old rejected, while others have had their automobiles that are 15 years old or older fixed for free or provided a payment plan. There is no extra warranty; this is just goodwill. Keep that in mind.

Is there power to the EML station? You'll need to know the error codes in order to conduct most things. An injector cleaner, like Redex, might be worth a shot, though. Do you happen to have the car's mileage?

I would be more concerned about an ignition problem if the indicated revs suddenly dropped. When shifting gears, under what conditions might the engine speed decrease as a result of a slipping clutch? If the gear indicator warning light comes on, it's likely because the car has detected the stated decrease in revs and believes you're trying to overwork the engine. The car would slow down if the engine rpm suddenly drop, so it's possible that the revs are hesitating rather than dropping. However, since the tacho and gear indicator advisory are powered by ignition pulses, they can be influenced by a misfire. It is necessary to read the code that is thrown when the ignition fails to work. Sixth gear on my six-speed manual gearbox allowed me 30 mph at 1000 rpm, fifth gear 25 mph and fourth gear 20 mph. By comparing the pace at which the engine is revving in relation to the revolutions per minute (rpm), you should be able to identify clutch slip.
