  1. Currently, I make an effort to refrain from driving at nighttime due to the many reasons stated by others. Driving my wife's Porsche is unfavourable, likely due to its low ground clearance. I am not fond of the concept of tinted night driving glasses, however I am very certain that I have seen them being shown in Boots Opticians on my visits.
  2. Ah! I do not often consider this perspective, since we do not have issues related to calcium accumulation in our region due to the presence of soft water.
  3. I had a same issue, but not with my SL, but with an E class. In contemporary times, a portion of the washer fluid tends to develop a thick, sticky consistency inside the tank, leading to the obstruction of the washer jets. To address this issue, it is advisable to detach the hoses and forcefully remove the blockage using either a hose or an air line. Additionally, it is recommended to replace the washer fluid as a precautionary measure. It is possible that the pump is obstructed, which may need cleaning. However, as you said, it is possible that the pump is just malfunctioning and nearing the end of its lifespan from the beginning. Apologies, I am unable to assist you with the buzzing issue. Undoubtedly, they are rather bothersome, aren't they?
  4. Revise the phrase "you send it by mail, they repair it..." Inaccurate predictive text 😞
  5. Actually, I am unable to go ahead without using the brake. The only time I can do so is when I am transitioning from reverse. πŸ‘πŸ‘
  6. I can engage ahead without pushing, but not reverse . It is essential to safeguard the gearbox while the vehicle is already in motion.
  7. The original poster did not mention anything, thus I took a cautious approach to increase my chances of success. I have been consistently engaged in this activity for an extended period of time.
  8. The battery seems to be completely discharged. on start the vehicle, just apply pressure on the brake pedal and turn the ignition key.
  9. They may just need time to stabilise; mine took several days to stabilise properly.
  10. Detach the headlight assembly. Apply wet and dry sandpaper with a grain range of 600 to 1200 to eliminate any discoloration. The abrasions and marks caused by the 1200 are inconsequential and will be filled with a coating substance. Purchase a 2K can of clear coat from Amazon, which offers durable UV protection and long-lasting performance. Cover the whole headlamp, leaving just the polycarbonate exposed. Apply 2 or 3 layers. The problem has been resolved for around the next decade.
  11. A few years ago, I acquired a Wahle stat for the C200 from Autodoc. Excellent product .... There are no issues... The pricing is also excellent. The one I removed was of same manufacture and kind.
  12. I own a 2004 SL 350, and there is an outdated telephone handset located within the centre console lid. There are three tactile buttons on the driver's side wall of this panel, with a size sufficient for finger(s) to push. They seem to lack any discernible purpose, although it is evident that they possess or had a specific function.
