  1. My essay aimed to demonstrate that a malfunctioning DPF pressure differential sensor may be diagnosed by examining other metrics, such as exhaust back pressure; if the latter is satisfactory, it indicates that the DPF is not entirely compromised. A obstruction may exist in the small tubes connecting the DPF to the sensor, however this will be assessed upon sensor removal. I indicated that I had recorded the installation of a new DPF, despite the fact that one had not been installed, just for the purpose of resetting. If the soot content dramatically increases while all other readings remain normal, the most probable issue is the sensor. Replacing it will likely take 45 minutes and cost between £10 and £15 from eBay. Significantly preferable to having a garage pondering while disclosing the magnitude of the charge.
  2. I purged the pipes and introduced DPF cleaner into the DPF, since they measure barely 150mm in length. The plastic tubes on the sensor were filled with a whitish substance. DPFs are entirely ineffective, since they emit an equivalent amount of soot as vehicles without such systems. They just execute it at varying intervals.
  3. The warning light activated on my S204, prompting me to use my Icarsoft Pro to diagnose the issue, which indicated a DPF reading of 400%. All other parameters were OK. This is peculiar, as my Mercedes is mostly utilised for long-distance travel. A DPF pressure difference sensor is once again required, I believe. Indeed, Mercedes has concealed it in a challenging location, since it has been replaced before. I changed it and then illuminated the ends of the previous sensor plastic hose to see that they were obstructed by a white sludge, which I presume is a result of condensation, given the car is used seldom for lengthy excursions. I cleared the code and had a drive, during which a regeneration started immediately. After around 30 miles, the engine light illuminated, prompting me to stop and examine the DPF soot level, which remained at 400%. I recorded that I changed the DPF using my Icarsoft Pro, and all readings are now OK. It seems that as the weather becomes colder and wetter, condensation has reached the sensor, resulting in a misleading measurement of 400%. I could likely have managed by only cleaning the sensor tubes; but, replacing them is somewhat cumbersome, so I opted for a new one instead. It is advisable to examine this sensor replacement, since the DPF was not at full capacity. I hope this information becomes beneficial to someone before to incurring substantial expenses at a garage.
  4. For a new vehicle, I have never experienced the wheels being blackened with brake dust after a few weeks following a thorough wash. A rubbing sound may also be audible when braking, which seems to be typical with disc brakes.
  5. I have consistently used 40 psi in the rear and 38 psi in the front, or alternatively, 38 psi in the rear and 36 psi in the front, depending on the load being carried.ps, psi
  6. I do not foresee it as an issue, however I have addressed some concerns by replacing tires, among other actions.
  7. As previously said, it seems to be connected to the transfer case. What is the make of the tires? Is everything from the same brand? What are the tread depths on each axle? Numerous factors must be taken into account, and the transmission requires servicing every 40,000 miles; the gearbox is similar, but it depends on driving habits.
  8. I acknowledge my laziness in inquiring, but could you maybe clarify the procedure for disabling speed warnings via voice, given that I have updated the update? Thank you.
  9. While uncertain about other markets, the Spyder Plus was available in the UK in 2017, since I own one registered in November of that year. There were also 2016 vehicles.
  10. I had the similar notion, but like you, I prefer not to complicate matters, and I know someone capable of doing such tasks.
  11. It is possible to do this with ISTA; however, I am uncertain about the efficacy of a scanner, such as a Snap-On or similar devices. It may be prudent to consult a garage.
  12. It seems to be a makeshift or substandard effort.
  13. Thank you for the messages. What obstacles must I address with the seat belt if it is incorporated into the seat?
  14. Greetings, gentlemen. Are the front seats from a BMW M4 F83 (2014-2020) compatible with a 4 Series F36 Gran Coupe? Thank you in advance.

    Key fob

A friend is experiencing an issue with his key fob. When attempting to start the vehicle, the message "key fob not detected" appears. This problem is intermittent; however, when it occurs, he removes the start/stop button and inserts the key. I advised him to replace the key battery, which he has done, yet the issue persists. Does anyone have any insights?
  16. I presume the non-folding variants are aftermarket, and as they do not fold, they will not fit in the trunk.
  17. Task for the next week to facilitate your departure from the residence, humorously said. I wish you and your family all the best.
  18. No mirrors available for purchase; they have worn covers and lack glass. That was the outcome of my little investment last year, or even the year before.
  19. Indeed, you are accurate; I overlooked it (ageing is affecting my memory). That is rather peculiar, but it must be a pulley, if not the alternator itself. You should be able to feel the culprit rotating manually.
  20. Remove the belt, and you should identify the faulty pulley by manually rotating it. Experiencing a grinding sensation or a rumbling sound. The air conditioning system requires more rotation, hence increasing the load on the belt.
  21. You have no more comments; you disapprove of its transition and see it as substandard. Why remain discontent? Sell it and purchase the VW.
  22. Subsequently, sell it and purchase a VW Passat.
  23. Utilising a £25 OBD2 scanner, you may independently erase the error and consequently the Engine Management Light (EML). My device activates with the Nix sensor failure code around one year. I will cancel many times during the following week, after which it will be deactivated. I possess little to no confidence in the sensors really malfunctioning. I believe it is more likely a case of debris on the sensor that is finally dislodged, or the excessively stringent limitations programmed in the software being momentarily surpassed. The assertion that "the computer indicates a negative response" does not always imply that a replacement is required. It serves as a modest source of income for some individuals.
  24. I had the opportunity to operate the scanner, and with the engine cold, the autocom indicates an engine coolant temperature of 12°C. The air temperature today is around 14 degrees. I removed the sensor, which displayed -40°C, and the fan commenced operation. The issue vanished when reconnecting the sensor. No codes were registered prior to this, although a P0117 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Low was recorded.
