The simple fact of the matter is there's no consistency with pattern parts ,I put 2 on front of 1 of my customers mb only last wk ,o/s door -wing gap good but wing- bonnet poor ,the n/s virtually fell on without a problem ,truth be told I'd avoid them if I could find genuine at a reasonable price on my own car but what you pay for is what u get 9 times out of 10 someone that knows what they are doing can fettle them to fit ,if they are prepared properly they won't rust any quicker than genuine ,I put a non gen on my dads 124 in 2005 and it's still not showing rust unlike the rest if his car lol but I put a whole bottle of stonechip in the inside of it before painting and after paint it dripped waxoyl for a month I put so much on ,they are far thinner gauge of metal too this will be obvious if you pick up your cars original wing in 1 hand and pattern wing in other ,also many insurance company's insist on repairers using pattern parts on cars over 3 years old be it mercedes ,BMW,Audi they DNt care and repairers have no choice but to spend extra time making these panels look and last aswell as a genuine 1

The multicontour seats of the 2007 S211 E550 are not functioning.

Equally probable is the presence of a breach in the air supply. Inspect the connections located under the seats. The pump immediately shuts off if it is unable to sustain air pressure. The most straightforward method is to use the STAR system to assess the seat functions. This system has the capability to accurately identify any leaks, including those originating from the air reservoir located in the rear. -
That aligns with my first perception. I completed the task of changing my in the garden within a time frame of around 20 minutes. In addition, allow some time for the engine to operate and eliminate any air present in the system. However, I am unaware of the precise location of the thermostat in the automobile belonging to the original poster. Is it necessary to remove the engine?

The rear wheels have a noticeable incline, yet they are quite attractive in the Selenite colour.

The item is located in the footwell on the side of the vehicle where the passenger sits. Carpet removal is necessary but feasible. -
I express my gratitude to both of you.😁

While I am capable of rendering them unconscious, I prefer to use a press to insert the outer races, since it reduces the likelihood of them being inserted unevenly and causing obstruction, given that I possess the necessary equipment. I own many types of grease, including green, blue, brown, black, and red. I applied lubrication to the bearings after removing the hub to clean the ring, so there is no issue in that regard. I will purchase a seal from MB. Based on previous encounters, it seems unlikely that they will have one available at the moment.
-
The EPC provides component numbers for the seal alone, the seal plus bearings, and a fully assembled hub. Therefore, it may be advantageous for me to get just the seal from MB. Since the bearings are in good condition, it seems unnecessary to remove and replace them without a valid reason.

The SLK is the only model that has a striking resemblance. It employs a rear-wheel drive system and relies only on a set of taper roller bearings. Indeed, we will proceed with acquiring new bearings and sealing it accordingly.

The ABS/ESP system of the 2007 SLK280, belonging to the user's partner, has unexpectedly encountered a disabled state. Upon connecting my iCarSoft reader, it promptly indicated that the issue was with the front right sensor and advised me to clean the ring. Upon removing the hub, I anticipated seeing a conventional castellated ABS ring. However, to my surprise, there was none. Instead, I saw what seems to be the rear side of the inner wheel bearing. After removing the dirt, I reassembled everything, but the issue persisted. Based on the presence of a bearing and a seal, it may be inferred that ETC employs either one or both of these components to detect the rotation of the wheel. Utilised the iCarSoft diagnostic tool to display the wheel speeds, revealing that all four wheels consistently exhibited identical speeds, with the exception of the front right wheel, which sometimes saw temporary decreases in speed. In my previous encounters with automobiles facing ABS issues, a malfunctioning sensor would result in the absence of speed readings from one wheel, while a broken reluctor ring would cause a discrepancy in speed compared to the other wheels. However, in this particular case, none of these scenarios is occurring. Suspecting an electrical issue, I have struggled with the inner wheelarch liner to access the connection. Despite applying contact cleaner to the contacts, even though they seem flawless, the problem persists. This is a video capture of the front right wheel speed sensor shown on the iCarSoft device. The inquiry pertains to whether a replacement sensor or a seal and wheel bearing are necessary. I am also interested in the mechanism used by the sensor to detect rotational movement.

The absence of an Annual General Meeting (AGM) is not a prevalent industry norm.
-
He is implying that you need an AGM battery, which has become prevalent due to its use in automobiles equipped with stop/start technology. Prior to the introduction of stop/start technology, these devices were used on some models, particularly where the battery is located in the passenger compartment or trunk due to their enhanced safety in the case of a collision. It is essential to ensure that you install the battery that is compatible with the car's specifications, whether it is an AGM battery or a conventional lead acid battery. This is because the charging characteristics and maximum voltage somewhat vary between the two types. Using an incorrect battery can result in suboptimal performance and may lead to the need for early replacement. Consider visiting your local authorised dealer's parts counter or specific Mercedes-Benz dealerships such as Newcastle, Edinburgh, and a few others mentioned on eBay. They often provide quite reasonable pricing for batteries, ensuring that you get the correct component. If you inquire, they will provide you with information on whether it should be AGM or not, as well as the capacity. I have observed that when purchasing from the parts counter in person, they often provide the service of installing the item on your vehicle upon collection. This convenience may justify paying a somewhat higher price to ensure proper installation.

The London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) applies to a W209 vehicle.
Captiva replied to Talentrews's topic in General
It will be a malfunction inside the TFL system. That is certainly not compliant with the Euro 6 emissions standard. -
In terms of mechanical condition, it is likely to be in better shape than a vehicle of the same age that has only been driven 1000 miles a year for weekly trips to Tesco or the National Trust vehicle park. There are no occurrences of cold start cycles or moisture in the exhaust.

However, they may be readily restored to a clear state by polishing.Removing the manufacturer UV protection will accelerate the yellowing process of the item. To ensure long-lasting durability, it is essential to apply a coat of clear UV resistant lacquer over the polished surface. If you neglect to do so, you will need to regularly polish them every few months after the first occasion.

Glass headlights are prohibited in the UK for any automobile manufactured and sold after about 1995.I am unable to recall the precise date... but, it occurred about within that time.

I have a preference for authentic Mercedes-Benz parts when it comes to most engine and gearbox components. The chassis components consist of Lemforder and Brembo parts for the brakes, while Febi parts are used for occasional filters and other miscellaneous items. These components have been reliable without any issues. My mechanic utilises some Febi components. He used to work as a diagnostic trainer for Mercedes.

I installed authentic MB parts, although I would have chosen Febi if they had not been accessible. I purchased the housing, which includes the temperature sensor and gasket.

Which engine should I choose for the C63 - the M156 or the M177?

Which engine should I choose for the C63 - the M156 or the M177?
Captiva replied to CleverPixel's topic in General
The automobiles are rather distinct from one other, in my opinion. There is no definitive answer as to which is superior, the engine or the automobile. The one that you like the most is considered the finest, at least for your own preference. Both have distinct and contrasting vibes. I have a strong affinity for the M156 engine's auditory and tactile characteristics.....however, would I make a purchase of such a vehicle? Unlikely....the strong sensation of torque provided by the 4.0TT (or even the 157, which was never installed in a C) is more aligned with my engine preferences. Although I like the 204 C63, it is undeniably outdated in terms of technology, particularly the vehicle itself rather than the engine. The 204 model was introduced in 2007, which means it is already 17 years old. Additionally, it has an older style inside. Are you someone who prefers this classic interior design (which I myself enjoy), or do you prefer the current gadgets and aesthetics of the 205 model? As previously said, there is no definitive response that can be classified as correct or wrong. -
I believed it was intended for your collection of gold sovereigns.
