  1. Proceed with caution. The P300e performs well when operational; nonetheless, the HVHC (high voltage hybrid coolant) heater malfunction is a prevalent and costly defect. If you are determined to get one, acquire the latest model within your budget that has the most extensive manufacturer's warranty to address that particular issue. Absence of a guarantee is a significant financial risk.
  2. It seems to have entered "limp mode."? Are there any warning lights illuminated on the dashboard, and do you own a code reader?
  3. Good choice. I used to work at Grimes Transport in the finance department before moving to Manchester last year. They’ve always been very professional. Payments for vehicles go into a segregated business account, meaning the money stays protected until the buyer confirms that the car has arrived and matches the description. That’s how they handle all these “buy-unseen” cases. They only buy vehicles in solid condition from repossession auctions, and that’s why they offer the 10-day inspection / refund policy it gives buyers peace of mind.
  4. I have charged my EV3 on AC several times without ever needing to release the bottom DC flap. Is your plug of an unusual shape?
  5. Thank you for your reply. I found it peculiar that when attempting to accelerate from a standstill in slick conditions, the vehicle stalled three times before barely managing to go forward.
  6. Is this vehicle equipped with 4x4 or all-wheel drive capabilities? The roads in this area are wet and slick, causing the wheels to lock while attempting to start in first gear, resulting in the vehicle stalling. Extremely hazardous when attempting to merge into traffic on similarly slick conditions. Is this typical behaviour for a 330xi, or is there an issue? It does not occur in dry snow. Thank you for any assistance or feedback.
  7. £28 for mine, however the price has already jumped.£700 is for a primary lithium battery, which is square in certain vehicles such as my F82 M4; the auxiliary battery is also lithium but is 6 cm square.
  8. SOS is a telematics battery; it does not have the longevity of a conventional battery.
  9. However, timing chains must be replaced at 100,000 miles on the 2.0d.
  10. It seems that LED lights were specified in the construction plans. It may be time for a new headlight.
  11. Greetings everyone, I want guidance in the appropriate path. The headlamp bulb on my 2014 E Class convertible has malfunctioned. I own a replacement bulb, but I am unable to access the original for removal. The main beam seems simple. Removing the lid seems to be somewhat complex.
  12. The warranty has expired, thus that option is not viable. Thank you for confirming the unfavourable news. Where have the lights gone that we can replace? I will search eBay and attempt to replace the device myself; I refuse to pay the exorbitant rates suggested by the major vendor. Thank you
  13. Greetings. I own a 2019 Evoque R Dynamic in the standard trim level. The rear passenger indicator has ceased functioning. I saw that there has been condensation in the light fixture for many months. This week, I visited the main dealer for a different problem. They said that for the indication, it is not a matter of changing a bulb, but rather the full light unit, which would incur a cost of £481. That seems to be irrational. Is this accurate? Is it not possible to simply replace the malfunctioning indicator? Thank you.
  14. I believe PHEVs may be preferable as they possess a standard 12V system, in contrast to HEVs.
  15. Merely opening the boot activates the lights. The likelihood is that it is a standard bulb. Carefully extract it, and you will observe
  16. I appreciate the provided hyperlink. I was uncertain about the nature of Bigred, but it seems that I have purchased one of the remaining kits, with the expectation that it would be compatible. I would rather do the task of rebuilding my automobile myself, since I am used to performing most of the maintenance work on my vehicles. However, I am aware that there is a possibility of making mistakes and perhaps worsening the situation. I have examined this website that discusses a comparable reconstruction: http://bmw8.us/Brake Booster Rebuild.htm
  17. Although not ideal, purchasing a used OEM part is a more cost-effective option compared to buying a new one when they were still being produced. Additionally, it is preferable than owning a low mileage 540 that cannot pass the MOT or be sold. I am apprehensive about scoring and damaging any internal components, thus I am inclined to use PastParts.
  18. I will comply. They provided a rough estimate of about £200, which is more than the cost of a few seals/gaskets or a rebuild kit, but not too expensive.
  19. The individual mentioned in the article explained the technique as follows: "To remove the bakelite bushing, a small hole is drilled near the rear end of the input shaft, allowing it to be pulled out using a wire hook." Detach the circlip and apply WD40. Additionally, there is a vertical pin located underneath one of the reservoir sockets that must be removed since it secures the pistons in place. Appears to be really overwhelming. It is exasperating to go through this process just to end up having to sell the 540.
  20. I appreciate the provided hyperlink. I was uncertain about the nature of Bigred, but it seems that I have purchased one of the final kits, with the expectation that it would be compatible. I would rather undertake the task of reconstructing myself, while I am aware that there is a possibility of making mistakes in the process. I have examined this website that discusses a comparable reconstruction: http://bmw8.us/Brake Booster Rebuild.htm
  21. Thank you for the recommendation! I contacted them and they expressed optimism for a rebuild. However, they emphasised that they would want the physical presence of the unit in order to provide a conclusive response.
  22. My 1994 E34 540i has a brake master cylinder that is experiencing a little leakage, causing a delay in passing the MOT inspection. Surprisingly, the brake master cylinder (part number 34311163924) is no longer available. The available alternatives seem to be limited to: Locate a pre-owned one (which has presented challenges) Reconstruct the current unit. Online, there are rebuild kits available from FRENKIT. Additionally, I have received assistance from a member of a US Forum who provided specific information on gasket and seal sizes. However, I am uncertain about the next steps to take. Are there any firms specialising in rebuilding vehicles in the UK? I just relocated here and am specifically looking for companies or forum users that have E34/E32 cars that are being dismantled and have relevant parts available. Thank you in advance!
  23. We now have a complete original equipment manufacturer (OEM) GT bumper, including all OEM carbon spoilers and canards, available for immediate purchase in the United Kingdom. Please send a private message if you are interested.
  24. In 1970, at the age of 18, I was given the responsibility of operating a fork/clamp truck by W.D.&H.O.Wills. This substantial apparatus was used to secure a stack of three 500 kilogramme cardboard boxes containing waste tobacco. My task was to move these boxes from the warehouse to the Customs and Excise bonded area. There, a Customs observer would choose random samples of tobacco to verify the contents. Currently, the plant is making daily payments over £1,000,000. Regarding taxation, there were significant amounts that might be reclaimed from the disposal of unused tobacco or waste materials. One day, I securely fastened three cartons of tobacco, erected the mast, and began to navigate towards the Customs "bonded" area. After a few yards, the boxes began to slide out from between the clamps. I increased the force applied to the boxes using the hydraulic clamps, and elevated the pole somewhat. Without any delay, I proceeded through the threshold into the bonded warehouse. The double doors were to be locked throughout the night or while the Customs and Excise personnel were not present on the premises. I can confirm that a Lansing Bagnall forklift truck, driving at a speed of 15 mph, with the mast in an elevated position, has the capability to not only remove an entire door frame but also displace several rows of bricks located above it. Due to my activities, a Customs "watcher" had to be paid to stay on the premises overnight until repairs were completed. As a consequence, I had some trouble with the plant manager. Upon arriving home, I found myself unable to evade the humiliation of my "accident". To my dismay, the person responsible for inspecting the condition of the fork truck happened to be my father, who also serves as the service manager for Lansing Bagnall.
