  1. Undoubtedly, my apprehension lies in the future when the warranty expires.
  2. I have placed a purchase for a 2024 CX-30. Nevertheless, I have been exposed to several adverse remarks about the LED headlights (as well as other LED lights installed on this car) and the associated costs of changing them. Consequently, I am contemplating the possibility of revoking my decision. Do you have any opinions or ideas? Thank you.
  3. My android device failed to function properly until I tried using a different cable. Subsequently, it successfully established a connection. However, the only functional feature on it is Google maps. None of the other applications that appear on the device function properly. When attempting to make a selection, an error message is shown stating "this function is currently unavailable."
  4. Thus far, I have consulted two garages and a Mercedes technician about the car's problem. However, none of them have been able to definitively determine the issue because to its uncommon nature, since the typical indication of mayo behind the oil cap is absent. Regardless of the problem, it is evident that water is really becoming mixed with the engine oil. However, the method by which it is infiltrating remains unknown. It seems to be a situation where fixing the head gasket is necessary in order to determine if the issue is remedied. I have reservations about this option due to its substantial cost and lack of assurance that it would resolve the issue. A week ago, I replenished the coolant in my vehicle but did not drive it. I anticipated that the coolant level would stay same, but to my surprise, the tank was almost depleted. Initially, I believed that the issue was limited to coolant loss while driving, which then evaporated. Does anybody else have any other suggestions on the potential cause of the problem, or should I go with the head gasket repair? Do you know the precise location of the oil cooler? Does the oil filter/housing have a pathway that allows coolant to leak?
  5. I have reexamined the matter. I purchased a pressure tester of this kind, and it seemed to function fairly well. I attached the pressure tester and raised the pressure to 20 psi. I saw a prompt but gradual decrease in pressure. After thoroughly inspecting all the locations listed before, I anticipated the presence of coolant being forcefully expelled from a specific area, but I saw no such occurrence. After adding dye to the coolant, I used a UV torch to inspect for leaks. The most noticeable area where a leak seems to be occurring is at a pipe connecting to the EGR cooler. Kindly review the attached photographs. In addition, I have captured photographs of many locations exhibiting apparent dye presence. Evidently, there is a mixture of water and oil, as shown by the oil level exceeding the maximum limit when I removed the dipstick. Nevertheless, the viscosity of the oil does not enough account for the quantity of coolant that is being lost. It is worth mentioning that when driving over bumps, I can audibly perceive swishing noises, seemingly originating from the dashboard. I am uncertain if this indicates the movement of coolant inside the unoccupied sections of the cooling system. The shot above shows holes where oil has accumulated, indicated by yellow arrows. These holes also seem to contain dye, which is visible under UV light since it has a glowing effect. I would much appreciate any guidance or recommendations.
  6. AmericaMonster I will conduct such examinations and provide a further report at a later time.
  7. I recently unscrewed the expansion vessel top to inspect the coolant level, which I had previously replenished earlier in the day. Upon unscrewing, I saw the water level rapidly decreasing before my eyes, accompanied by the distinct sound often associated with a partly clogged kitchen sink. Subsequently, I relocated the vehicle to ascertain the presence of moisture on the ground, only to discover that it was completely dry.
  8. Greetings, everyone. I'm seeking clarification or insight from someone. Approximately three weeks ago, the engine coolant indicator illuminated on my vehicle's dashboard. Without giving it any consideration, I proceeded to fill it completely. Following about one hour of driving, the following day, I saw the reemergence of the coolant indicator. Due to my regular mechanic's high workload, I conducted online research and opted to locate the leak independently by using a Green dye and UV light. Nevertheless, I discovered nothing. Subsequently, I brought the vehicle to a shop where the mechanic conducted a pressure test and confirmed that my coolant system was functioning properly without any leaks. After inspecting the engine oil, he saw that it was not completely black as expected. He noted that the oil had a thin consistency and concluded that the head gasket had failed. Although I have little information about vehicles, he said that the most prevalent indication of a failing head gasket is the presence of white substance surrounding the engine oil cap. However, I have not seen any such white substance. Subsequently, I brought the vehicle to a different garage, where the mechanic said that he cannot definitively exclude the possibility of the head gasket failing, but he is not completely certain. There are no apparent indications of water leakage in the engine, but it seems to be dissipating or being directed elsewhere. I am reluctant to invest a significant amount of money on repairing the head gasket, just to discover that the issue remains unresolved. Do you have any hypotheses on the cause of this problem? The heater and air conditioning system are functioning well, and the engine is not experiencing overheating, despite a loss of coolant. However, this is contingent upon around 45 minutes of travel. I do not see any discernible decrease in power either. The coolant loss amounts to around 0.25 litres after driving for approximately 45 minutes.
  9. Oh. Last week, I replaced the oil in my vehicle. However, I discovered that the new filter I had was incorrect. Consequently, I placed an order for the correct filters. As a result, the oil in my vehicle is now one week old and has been driven for a distance of two hundred kilometres.
  10. Apologies for the somewhat naive question, but is it possible to replace the oil filter of the W204 (C180 diesel) without first emptying the oil? Thank you.
  11. This is the outcome of my work: All of this effort is just for the purpose of selling it.
  12. I recently engaged in a pleasant correspondence with the amiable Mercedes parts department by email. Good morning, I am the owner of a 2004 CLK cabriolet and I am now searching for a certain component or parts that have proven to be unidentified by everybody I have consulted thus far. When the roof is down, there are chords or strings that secure the headlining in position. However, it seems like one of mine is damaged or a clip or fastening has been off. Can you assist with providing names and prices for these components? Sincerely. The response he provided: Aleksei Lissovski Good morning. We do have that component available in our inventory. The price of the reconditioned item is 489.85, with an additional 7 for shipping. Please inform me if you need assistance. Subsequently, I inquired: Greetings, Aleksei. Could you provide a visual representation of the part? Its price seems to be disproportionately high considering its resemblance to a simple string. Thank you. His response was as follows: Hello. Apologies. We do not engage in the practice of creating or providing images. We lack the necessary time for it. Thank you I am now anticipating a response to my previous inquiry. Understood, there is no issue. Could you provide me with a description or component number so that I may independently verify the proper item either online or by visiting my local dealer? Prior to making the purchase, I need to spend a total of £489.85. Thank you. My description was so accurate that he immediately recognised the role. However, I still have to wait. Thank you.
  13. I have conducted a cursory search, but I am unable to locate it. Do you own a hyperlink?
  14. Greetings, everyone. I am now in need of a certain car part for my 2004 CLK cabriolet, however I am facing difficulties in finding relevant information online or even identifying the exact part I want. On Friday, I lowered the roof, which was likely the first time in a considerable period. Upon reassembling the roof, I saw that the rear headlining had become distorted and was exposing the roof structure. Upon examination, it seems that these string/chord guides have either been unclipped or damaged. I had the astute notion to investigate the opposing aspect in order to ascertain the cause of the problem, only to discover that it too had undergone self-inflicted termination. Could someone provide me with the name of the specific component that I require? It seems that the parts department at my local dealership is either unresponsive or lacks the ability to accept phone calls. Thank you.
  15. The value of KBB is negligible when applied to vehicles such as gated manual R8's, much alone those classified as "black book." Based on my comprehension, there are two primary concerns associated with these automobiles, namely the magnesium and the air conditioning compressor. Additionally, it is important to consider the presence of reinforcing plates. A price of $65K is considered favourable if you are able to get a clean bill of health on a PPI, namely the one that the current owner obtained, and if the accident was of a small kind. Wishing you success in your quest...I just came across a pristine 18K mile 2010 V8 gated vehicle and I am still incredulous.
  16. I would like to inform you that I have successfully made a hotel reservation for the Saturday night, along with two or three others. It would be beneficial to reintroduce the Merc, since, with the exception of a few minor adjustments, it has not been in operation since the conclusion of September in the previous year. I am eagerly anticipating the presence of many individuals from this location.
  17. Ukraine, often referred to as UA, is the geographical location of the shop in question.
  18. Thank you for your assistance, Sir! 👍👍 Do you have the component number readily available? Is it reasonable to assume that the sensor is same for both the 280 and 320 versions? The length of the cable is 560mm.
  19. Can I assume that the Bosch unit functioned flawlessly? 👍
