It might be advisable to consult with a nearby dealer to inquire about the existence of any service records within their network. If it were me, I would decline the automobile.
-
Did you purchase it from an authorised BMW dealership or from an independent dealer?

Since the battery has been installed in the automobile for a duration of 4 months, it is no longer considered to be a completely fresh battery. Requires recharging or a thorough exercise session.

Does the W204 C350 CDI Sport Auto have electronic suspension?
Cincoon replied to HeadlinesQuick's topic in General
Airmatic suspension was not available for any 204 model. Simply the conventional multi-link suspension. -
Given my age, I no longer have the desire to engage in the physically demanding task of bench pressing a gear box under a vehicle. However, if I had a four post lift, I would not hesitate to use it. Unfortunately, I do not have such a luxury. Best of luck with your Mondeo and in your search for a desirable Land Rover.

Did you get authentic or non-original sensors?

The discrepancy of 10mm on the back is quite unsettling. The front portions likewise seem to be situated at a lower height. Based on my recent calibration, I measured around 460mm for both the front and back. It seems that the dryer's airflow may be obstructed, indicating a need for rebuilding. If the motor is not damaged, it is advisable to repair the complete compressor. The system anticipates a reading within a tolerance of plus or minus 3mm. The discrepancy of 10mm in the back may be causing an imbalance. Additionally, if it is unable to expel air rapidly enough, it will have a malfunction. Calibrations may be somewhat temperamental.

You lack knowledge about the product you are purchasing.

However, it is important for the buyer to be cautious and aware of potential risks. Was the prior owner aware of this? It seems that the answer is affirmative. Personally, I would return and forcefully strike his skull. It is common practice to sell a hazardous vehicle without concern for the potential harm it may do, since profit is prioritised above the well-being of others. -
Upon hearing the video, the timing chain immediately comes to mind.

I believe you are much enthusiastic about the AC. Based on my understanding, the cost at the dealership is around $5,000 to $6,000. Has anything changed? It is amusing how 39,000 miles elicits surprise. However, considering that this automobile is already 15 years old, it averages only approximately 2,600 miles each year, which is rather fair for this particular kind of vehicle. Regarding the original poster (OP), it is important to be aware that there is a possibility of incurring significant expenses, ranging in the thousands, since there is no foolproof Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) and even if there were, its effectiveness would be limited to a certain moment in time. However, it is an exceptional bargain. As previously said, there are several locations peculiar to the R8 that need caution - be sure to thoroughly examine them. However, it is advisable to engage a highly skilled technician to do a comprehensive Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI). Preferably, this process is carried out using a lift. The panels may be removed, the frunk can be dismantled for structural examination, and the wheels can be taken off to examine the shocks, among other things. Certain vendors may not authorise this - whether justified or not, you will need to choose your level of comfort if such a situation arises.

It is fortunate that you may continue to operate your vehicle without any safety concerns. There have been several reports, not only on this platform but also on other Kia Sportage forums, about the malfunctioning of the parking brake switch/lever. It seems that this component is not sufficiently durable when used often.
-
Will the lever function properly if Auto Hold is selected? I have never used the lever on these vehicles before, but the Auto Hold feature has consistently functioned well.
-
Now that we understand its function, we can attribute the whirring noise coming from the back to it. Thank you for providing clarification. I must confess that initially, I had doubts about my ability to do the task until I searched for a tutorial on YouTube.

Turn the ignition key to position 1. Disengage the parking brake. Three Activate the trip metre display on the dashboard readout using the controls located on the steering wheel. Simultaneously press and hold the phone answer button and the ok button for a brief duration. This action will prompt the appearance of a menu containing five options, one of which is labelled as "rear brake pad setting" or similar. Proceed by following the instructions displayed on the screen. Upon successful deactivation, a sound will be emitted from the rear of the car. After completing the replacement of the brake pads and discs, return to the dashboard and adhere to the instructions provided to reactivate the brake pad setting. When you will hear that sound once again. Simply return to the regular screen. I have completed my task, and it took me a total of 2 hours, which I consider to be a satisfactory amount of time. Additionally, I took a break to have a cup of tea.

I am uncertain. I purchased the brake pads and discs from my Mercedes-Benz dealer. Along with the pads, I received a booklet with a cautionary notice to disable the Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC) system. When I searched on Google and clicked on a YouTube instructional, the "how to" video appeared as expected. I followed the instructions and, lo and behold, it performs just as expected.
-
I have it, and I can turn it off. "What is it actually doing?" was the question. I can only hear a buzzing sound.
-
I want to replace the rear brake pads and discs on my vehicle and have discovered the process of disabling the sensotronic brake control system. I would want to know the specific functionality and purpose of this. Does anybody have a response to this inquiry, please?
-
It seems as if you have much experience in handling vintage automobiles! A "brake spoon" is the appropriate instrument for this task, since it has a crank at the end that greatly facilitates adjustment. The handbrake shoe retainer is not faulty. Death comes suddenly and unexpectedly, much like the iconic Volkswagen, Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes cars from the past.

Typically, one would do such. I failed to perceive your statement on the phenomenon of disappearance when speeding. It may be beneficial to temporarily exchange injectors 1 and 4 and restart the engine to see whether the noise shifts to cylinder 1. I suspected that my engine's fuel injector was also faulty, since the symptoms did not like the typical signs of previous major engine failures I had experienced in the past. I discovered metal fragments after draining the oil, so I removed the engine and disassembled it.
-
It is difficult to determine from the video due to the typical noise of a diesel engine. However, based on your description, it seems to closely like the sound of the N47 engine in my wife's previous vehicle when I purchased it. The large end bearing for cylinder number 4 has experienced spinning and significant erosion, resulting in complete wear. Require a new rod and crankshaft.

I made a purchase via the online marketplace eBay, whereas my particular and selective friend made a purchase directly from the luxury automobile manufacturer BMW. Both sets occurred simultaneously, lasting around four years, if I recall correctly. You may choose between purchasing one set of authentic items or acquiring a collection of eBay items that spans a period of 20 years.
