RosaStyle
A friend is experiencing an issue with his key fob. When attempting to start the vehicle, the message "key fob not detected" appears. This problem is intermittent; however, when it occurs, he removes the start/stop button and inserts the key. I advised him to replace the key battery, which he has done, yet the issue persists. Does anyone have any insights?
Captiva
The batteries in the key fob for keyless entry/go have a short lifespan. I am uncertain as to the reason. I needed to replace the battery biannually.
Darthilli
Where does he place the key when in the vehicle? I have observed that when my device is placed in the right-hand pocket of a coat I am wearing, it works well; yet, on multiple occasions, when it is in the right trouser pocket, it remains undetected, despite successfully unlocking the vehicle door. Tearcarl
I believe he just places it in the front cup holder upon entering the vehicle, however I am aware that he has installed a new battery.
Finestey
The same occurrence occurred for me yesterday, immediately followed by the Alarm!
AmericaMonster
Did they remove the tiny paper disc located on one side of the battery during the battery replacement? It is a frequent occurrence to overlook.
CrawlerTagz
Double-clicking the lock button deactivates the key. If you neglect it, it will persist in emitting a signal and depleting the battery. The most recent keys deactivate immediately in the absence of detected movement.
Tearcarl
I need to enquire with him.
Tearcarl
He said that there is no white disc. I also verified that I did not own a key fob.
