  7. Any of these vendors in Germany should be capable of assisting; I have engaged with everyone of them at some point. This crossover vehicle has certain facelift attributes; nonetheless, it retains pre-facelift doors with quarterlights, necessitating the use of earlier-style mirrors. In German, "mirror" is "Spiegel," "doors" are "Türen," and "left" and "right" are "links" and "rechts," respectively, when consulting German component lists. If you require additional German translations, please enquire. They typically employ people proficient in English for telephone enquiries.
  8. I assume it is the clips that support the black net utilised for securing road maps, among other items.
  9. Have you utilised eBay or AliExpress?
  10. It appears to me, based on previous exchanges I have observed, that the prevailing mindset is: If the vehicle is leased or under a Personal Contract Purchase for several years and subsequently exchanged for another, consistently charge it to 100%, as any decline in battery life will be the concern of the next owner. If the car is retained, charging to 80% initially is often preferable for long-term battery health.
  11. You require a new key; thereafter, it must be programmed. Do you not possess a spare?
  12. Have you enquired directly with Mercedes?
  13. Have you inspected the primary engine ground connection and all fuses in the front and rear SAMs? I lack diagrams of these, however it may be prudent to inspect for any exposed wiring looms for indications of damage.
  14. Could the wire have sustained damage from rodents over the period of disuse?
  15. Can you verify the voltage in the engine compartment? A Positive terminal is typically present for connecting jump leads.
  16. The fob is unable to unlock the doors, yet it does operate the ignition switch. Who replaced the two batteries in the vehicle? Are you entirely convinced that they were linked properly? Are you certain that the protective cover has been removed from one of the terminals on the batteries within the key fobs? Frequently disregarded. Can you ascertain how I am aware? 🤔 The batteries in the key fob serve to power the RF signal for locking and unlocking. Not intended for engine ignition. Your description suggests the presence of two issues. I presume you have tested both keys in the ignition? A malfunction with the Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS) is a possibility, which is not unusual.
  17. Has the automobile battery been completely recharged? The fob batteries are unrelated to the release of the steering lock or the deactivation of the immobiliser necessary for starting the vehicle. The key is recognised by the steering lock, and the immobiliser circuit within the key is energised through induction from a coil in the steering lock/ignition switch.
  18. Update: The BMW arrived yesterday evening! The delivery driver was brilliant, phoned ahead and helped get the car off the transporter safely on my narrow road. Everything looks absolutely spot on. Matches the listing photos exactly. All the docs were neatly packed in a folder, and I’ve booked it into my garage tomorrow morning just to double-check. But so far – couldn’t be happier!
  19. Right, I’ve taken the plunge! Sent over the money today and got the payment confirmation from their accounts team. They said the car should be loaded onto a transporter within the next 24 hours. Hoping for a smooth delivery – will update once it lands.
  20. Cheers, everyone. Quick one – does anyone know if they take card payments or is it strictly bank transfer?
  21. Thanks folks, really appreciate the replies. I spoke with someone named Paul from Kismis Transport earlier. He emailed over the V5C and HPI clearance report, all looked genuine. Still nervous about paying upfront without seeing the car with my own eyes though.
  22. Bit of a random one, but I spotted a 2021 BMW 3 Series listed on Facebook Marketplace through Kismis Transport, apparently based out of Belfast. I was told it’s a repossessed car from an asset recovery auction. They’ve offered delivery down to Surrey and a 10-day return guarantee. I’m a bit unsure about handing over money before viewing the car. Has anyone here actually bought from Kismis Transport? Any insight would be much appreciated!
