  1. I have been examining the Z4M, and the annual tax amounts to almost £760.Disinclining me towards them; I will now examine the running costs of the Z3M, which amount to £360, the same as what I pay for my M4.
  2. I have contemplated acquiring one; the Indy I utilise has purchased one from a client, allowing me to see it closely, which has reignited my interest in obtaining one.The "clown shoe" shape is arguably one of the finest, although I believe I may have lost the opportunity, since costs have significantly escalated over the past five years.£40,000 for a quality item
  3. 40,000 miles is negligible for a contemporary automobile. I am uncertain whether this is a prevalent issue with Hyundai or Kia, but it deters me from purchasing a DCT. Perhaps it is the reason Ford and Stellantis have reverted to using torque converters. It will be intriguing to observe Kia's response to the original poster.
  4. It would likely depend on the actions taken. A Google search yields ambiguous results but suggests that any installed parts often possess their own guarantee, perhaps extending the warranty for that issue until May 2026 if the part was purchased separately. If a new gearbox control module (TCM) has been installed, one would anticipate a minimum one-year warranty, assuming it was purchased independently. However, if they merely reprogrammed it, you may have no recourse. I anticipate that iooi, the super admin, may arrive at some point, as he appears to possess extensive knowledge regarding warranty terms and may be aware if repairs are covered beyond the usual seven-year period. I believe this topic was addressed a few years prior, so consider conducting several searches on the forum using various terms to ascertain if any conclusive information emerges. If the gearbox has a method to assess the oil level, it is advisable to verify it, since insufficient oil in an automatic gearbox can result in the retention of gears due to inadequate pressure to activate the solenoid for gear shifting.
  5. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires on my 2019 E63S estate perform well, save for occasional skipping at low speeds on cold tires during winter. However, I also own a set of winter tires that I swap to when this issue becomes excessive.
  6. One or two experts are emerging who provide battery refurbishments at around half the cost of a new battery. Conduct a Google search to see whether there is one in your vicinity.
  7. The boot lid on my R129, which had strut assistance, was surprisingly hefty to lift.
  8. Refer to my preceding post.
  9. From the DVLA. Since 1977, all vehicles registered in the UK have been mandated to include a speedometer that can display speeds in both kilometres per hour (km/h) and miles per hour (mph).
  10. Is it a servo or a vacuum pump?
  11. Resuming the pursuit 👍 I have seen recent versions priced at around $20,000. Minimal mileage.
  12. Regrettably, there is no information available; I was just provided with details on the discs and pads, hence I will not be forward with the viewing.
  13. The 2017 vehicle has 65,000 miles, but the vendor claims there is no record of any history on the iDrive system, which I find peculiar, prompting me to investigate the reason for this discrepancy. 🤔
  14. Thank you; it is a private transaction.
  15. Hi everybody, I've seen a vehicle but allegedly all tye service history is gone on the system? Anyone have this problem previously as I've attempted to search but couldn't find anything? Thank you in advance
  16. It is not very challenging if your DIY abilities and expertise with other vehicles are enough, and as Atraudes said, you own the pretty standard tools. The most challenging aspect, but still very worthwhile, is the "heater manifold" pipe (cross-over pipe) located at the rear of the engine. If you own a store, go with it; it likely will not include the replacement of other associated components as previously said, however it will incur excessive costs nevertheless. I understand that by browsing and searching through the most recent pages of articles, you should be able to locate several threads and posts that provide insights and accounts from others who have had similar experiences and what they discovered and faced along the process.
  17. I am capable of operating a bus, however I lack knowledge about CAN bus and I-bus systems. Not of my interest whatsoever. Perhaps I could rectify the wiring on the Morris Minor, all five or six connections.
  18. My motto is to refrain from engaging with that which one does not comprehend. Neglecting a BMW's electrical system might result in significant financial loss.
  19. To OP, do you own the Nextbase model that accommodates a clip-in rear camera? I now own the 422GW with a clip-in rear camera, and it works well. Initially, I was doubtful about the image quality from the front camera through the rear window beyond the seats; nevertheless, it is very satisfactory.
  20. What is the power status at the relay? Is there a 12-volt supply, a proper ground connection, and 12 volts at the coil when the pump is activated? I presume that an E46 from that period used a regular relay for the fuel pump instead of a module. I am not well-versed on the E46, since I have never worked on them.
  21. Should I use the resistance setting instead of continuity? Attempt to measure whether there is 12 volts across the pump wires with the ignition activated.
  22. Mine works as anticipated, and I have configured it to the minimal slide-back setting.
  23. I just bought a X5 MHEV, what do you think about it's range in electric mode ?
