  1. Have you attempted to explore this location...https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=5274-USA-06-1983-E24-BMW-633CSi&diagId=34_0451 Take a tour or test drive an automatic vehicle (I selected a manual gearbox).
  2. A price of $65k is seen excessive for a gated vehicle with 36,000 kilometres, particularly if the inside contains carbon fibre, on the assumption that the single accident is well recognised and involves a straightforward repair, such as repainting or replacing a bumper. If you are purchasing this as an investment, I concur with Dinkman's viewpoint that some prospective purchasers may have a strong aversion against any occurrence of accidents. Nevertheless, I was delighted to get a gated R8 V8 (equipped with carbon) for a sum of $73,000, with a mileage of 48,000 miles. In my perspective, this transaction can be deemed satisfactory, if not exceptional. Therefore, a price of $65k for a reduced mileage, albeit with the possibility of a small accident, is seen favourable.
  3. As you have seen, this may be attributed to several factors. In the long term, it is likely that locating an Indy with Star who has the necessary diagnostic skills will result in cost savings and alleviate emotional distress. The cost of parts is too high to rely on chance.
  4. I will not only repeat the opinions of others. Some of it pertains to your search for features in the R8. I am indifferent towards the everyday driveability aspects. I like the car's exceptional drivability for everyday use, however it is not the primary reason for my ownership. I now own a high-performance V8 vehicle for everyday usage, which is about to be equipped with a new Fi exhaust system (a video documenting this upgrade will be shared shortly). However, the primary reason I have a deep affection for my R8 is the opportunity it affords me to proudly assert that it has the same powertrain as a Lamborghini. That fills me with a great sense of self-worth!
  5. Mercedes does not offer the motor unit alone; it is only available as part of a breaker component. You can get a mid-section pipe from Mercedes that comes with the motor/actuator already installed, along with two clamps. The pipe at the factory is a single continuous piece extending from the back of the engine to the rear. However, replacement parts are not sold in this manner to prevent customers from purchasing unnecessary sections including the catalytic box and rear silencer box. Additionally, it could be more difficult to replace anything of that size. I will now search for the invoice with the component numbers. You purchased it from your nearby Mercedes dealership. Request to be connected to the spare parts department.
  6. UPDATE: I ultimately chose to surrender and take my flap to Mercedes for assistance. They sent an estimate of £174 per hour including VAT for the diagnosis, and I felt compelled to accept. They both seemed puzzled. Ultimately, they determined that the replacement component I installed was defective. We waited a few days for a part from Germany, and then they installed it. Success, it worked! I had just experienced extreme misfortune when I got a defective new component. The total cost for this? £0. The item I bought from Mercedes comes with a 2-year guarantee for both parts and labour, regardless of who installs it. No diagnostic time was charged. The total cost, including VAT, was around £360 for the original components. In addition to the inconvenience, I was puzzled as to why the fix I had done did not work. Kudos to Mercedes, they handled the situation well.
  7. I attempted it first after encountering the identical issue after the unit exchange. If my fuse testing procedure may provide a false positive. I tested the fuses by examining the metal connections on the top left and right for continuity. Checked a fuse box located in the engine compartment and another one in the footwell. Are there any further sets of fuses that I have overlooked?
  8. Assistance required. My GLA220 had sporadic instances of entering limp mode lately. Every instance saw a change in acceleration, with only the environmental mode available on the automatic gearbox. I conducted a scan and identified issues associated with the exhaust flap and exhaust flap actuator. I replaced the exhaust piece including the flap actuator, which was bought directly from Benz spares. I then cleared the codes and anticipated that this would resolve the issue. It did not! I am currently contemplating my next steps in the diagnostic process. This device communicates with a drivetrain controller unit (A 000 900 36 6 or N127) which should be checked, but no faults are currently shown for it. Has anybody else had the difficulty of changing the exhaust flap exhaust piece, yet the condition still persists? Tomorrow, I will carefully inspect the wire loom to check for any short circuits. This is shielded by foil heat shield wrap but may still be exposed to heat and potential short-circuiting. The actuator I removed works when I apply 5 volts across the terminals. It is possible that the feedback controller from the previous assembly is no longer functional, but I am unsure how to verify it. Has anybody discovered the wire loom to be damaged by heat? Please provide feedback even if you have a similar issue with car types other than GLA, since Mercedes-Benz seems to use identical components across their various models.
  9. In my opinion, starting in 2024, it would be wise to invest significant funds in upgrading to a modern petrol or diesel vehicle rather than sticking with electric automobiles. It will be dangerous for everyone since we are uncertain about the government's intentions, such as whether they would impose taxes on these vehicles or prohibit them from certain locations. Uncertain. My approach is to either maintain my current automobile or switch to a high-quality, low-mileage vehicle that is fuel-efficient and has minimal emissions to avoid being charged for driving on the road. I purchased a new hybrid Rav4 a year ago and really disliked it. The tyre noise on some bumpy roads was causing me discomfort due to the continuous low-pitched sound. The engine performance was unsatisfactory for me, so I sold it and purchased a 2016 GLC 2.2.
  10. Hello The addition of the L-holder for the Recaro pole position to the components in your photo results in a higher sitting position compared to the parts I previously described.
  11. Utilise the Recaro adapter 86.83.16/26 together with the running rails and L holders for your pole position seat.
  12. I saw this on YouTube. I have removed the wind deflector from my vehicle and noticed moisture behind the seal in both corners. I suspect this may be the cause of the issue. The weather conditions are too wet today to address it further.
  13. Was the link functional? I have not attempted to replicate content from YouTube before.
  14. Main dealers do not instruct their personnel in fault-finding; instead, they are trained in using diagnostic computers. There is a significant distinction. Leaks are fundamental aspects of engineering that are no longer often taught.
  15. Consider consulting with a skilled body shop to inquire about their assistance.
  16. A malfunctioning glowplug would not be the source of a misfire occurring within the range of 2.5-3k rpm.
