  1. I am exploring possibilities for the front brake pads on a C63 W204. Endless pads are costly, and although the evaluations seem favourable, they are limited in number, especially with the C63. Does anybody has experience with them? Are they worth the investment, and how do they perform as a daily driver? (vehicle with low yearly mileage)
  2. Neither of us required resistors; nonetheless, my bulbs were inoperative in a Corsa D that I had purchased for my niece.
  3. No, that is my father's old i40; this is my S204.
  4. It should activate every 5 minutes while the headlights are illuminated
  5. I believed that is what I said. I disassembled a component from a vehicle I previously had (I cannot recall the model) due to its persistent low muted beep. Internally, it was extensively corroded, and the PCB was discoloured brown from water penetration. If it is not the siren producing false warnings, one must enquire what else it may be, perhaps ultrasonics internally?
  6. The siren is equipped with a built-in battery that, when depleted, often triggers false alerts. Disengaging it will likely eliminate any false warnings as well.
  7. Brushed aluminium is aesthetically pleasing and conceals dust well. Piano black is inferior to any kind of wood.
  8. Uncertain, but it must be deactivated in some manner.
  9. I had a same situation with a BMW 1.8i. If I persisted for half an hour, it would likely succeed.
  10. I would be quite pleased to get two gearbox oil changes in a little period. You now own a whole new gearbox. I question if the cost of oil and filters amounts to £50; the £800 charge mostly reflects labour and profit.
  11. Unbelievable. The incident occurred between roundabouts on a dual carriageway, prompting me to immediately consider the worst-case scenario. Greetings, everyone! The mind is somewhat more at peace now.
  12. It is unclear if this is a serious statement or not. If you are, I will evaluate this tomorrow!
  13. Greetings to everyone. I just acquired a delightful W212 E350, however I have seen a somewhat bothersome little problem. When travelling at regular speeds, everything functions well; but, at speeds below 10 mph, it attempts to engage the park mode. I cannot audibly detect its vigorous engagement, however it appears on the clock; see to the attached picture. Based on my study, it seems that the issue may be related to the electronic ignition switch (EIS). I am seeking your confirmation on this matter. The photograph below depicts the automobile at rest. All comments is welcome. Thank you very much
  14. Ouch! Could you provide the VIN for verification purposes?
  15. You may need to eliminate a few items initially or locate a youngster to accommodate it. 😉
  16. Thank you for your assistance. Could you please indicate the location of the pressure sensor on this model so that I may begin my inspection? Thank you one again.
  17. Greetings, everyone. I saw this error while driving the other day; I would appreciate your guidance on its cause and resolution. The error number was P2453, indicating that the DPF pressure sensor A is out of range. I want to resolve this matter before any other issues occur. Thank you in advance.
  18. It definitely requires a decent italian tune up every week. Consider incorporating Diptane into the diesel fuel.
  19. I doubt the continued availability of such components from MB. Not all vendors provide discounts to club members, but you may be fortunate. We get a discount ranging from 5 to 20% at our local MB, mostly due to engaging in conversation with the parts personnel and endearing them with my 18-month-old grandson, who is an avid vehicle enthusiast. I have seen several online offers for replacement metal for these vintage vehicles, therefore I should start a search on Google. Successful hunting
  20. The light will extinguish with the replacement of the sensor and the clearing of the codes. Software may also be required. Utilise only an authentic (latest number) NOX sensor.
  21. Why dismiss it only due to a sensor malfunction? It is readily rectified. Numerous sensors are prone to malfunction at any moment, and often do so.
  22. The outcome will depend on the fitter's expertise, not the manufacturer's proficiency.
