  1. He probably doesn’t have a dpf , my 2009 does not . Proper fix , absolutely all day long but he won’t with the new inlet motor have any change out of £1200 .
  2. If there were to be a future occurrence of an oil cooler seal leak, it would need the removal of the intake manifolds for cleaning purposes. Currently, I am considering replacing the inlet motor. However, whether or not I will still own the vehicle at that time remains uncertain.
  3. I have been using the resistor for an extended period of time. Initially, I saw a minor enhancement in engine braking when releasing the pedal. However, other from that, I have not seen any other changes. Based on my limited comprehension, I believe there could be two potential problems that might impact the intake motor. 1) The swirl flaps are becoming stuck due to the accumulation of debris in the intake manifolds, necessitating their removal and cleaning to prevent further occurrences. 2) The oil spilling from the orange turbo intake seal has caused damage to the inlet motor. If your issue pertains to point 1, replacing the intake motor will not provide a solution. If the issue is related to point 2, it may provide temporary assistance until the inlet ports get clogged in the future. Do you have both 1 and 2 occurring simultaneously? If all components are functioning well, it is advisable to retain the resistor.
  4. While I currently have no intention of purchasing an electric vehicle (EV), I absolutely have no interest in purchasing a diesel vehicle (derv), especially not one from Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).It would be as wasteful to just set the money on fire. Fortunately, it is leased. Over time, there will be limited demand for a pre-owned diesel vehicle, not only due to the ULEZ regulations but also because of concerns around Adblue and NOX emissions. Consequently, the value of these vehicles is depreciating rapidly. Currently, fuel is the only viable option for me.
  5. Do they engage in activities involving night vision technology?I have never seen that in my own experience.
  6. A friend of mine resides in Bladnoch, with the closest fish and chip shop being in Newton Stewart.
  7. The central section of your item differs from mine as it lacks the indentation resembling cups. In contrast, mine is flat. Once the replacement bench arrives, you will be able to determine whether it is compatible. I am intrigued by your seat, however it seems to be a distinct trim from the one I already own. Could you kindly inform me of your location in Scotland?
  8. The configuration you described bears a striking resemblance to mine; maybe all you want is a bench seat. What a remarkable occurrence it would be. Displayed below is an image of the double seat brace mentioned in a previous post, which has been recognised by a forum member with expertise in the subject matter. The yellow cable hanging loosely is likely intended for the sensor in the double seat. It is possible that a resistor is included at the end of the line to prevent the SRS light from being activated. If you want a bench seat, kindly inform me. I own a 2011 model with grey fabric trim that exhibits little signs of wear. I had planned to pursue the GLA seat change, but I am also intrigued by the possibility of acquiring your passenger seat if it is available for sale. If there are no concerns, there is no need to worry.
  9. Your intended course of action is well recorded on this site. I have been a passive observer on this platform for a significant period of time. In my Vito (w639), the bench and driver's seat are supported by a brace that is positioned between the B pillars. The seats you own, on the other hand, are mounted on separate bases. In a few weeks, I want to switch to a dual configuration in the front. However, I am uncertain about its compatibility with the W447. Greetings
  10. Could you please provide the recorded data from the sensor? To be honest, if the issue has been resolved, not returned, and the sensor is now displaying live readings, I would recommend taking the vehicle for a thorough drive at slightly higher than usual RPMs. Alternatively, some people suggest doing a "Italian tune up," which involves using a commercially available DPF cleaning and filling up with high-quality Shell premium diesel fuel.
  11. I hope that resolves the issue. Yes, it is somewhat inconvenient to change that particular component.
  12. Rapid Google seems to cost about £50 and I haven't seen the whole video, but I believe the following link demonstrates how to replace it.
  13. I concur with your assumption, my friend. It is possible that the sensor has malfunctioned. Which automobile model?
  14. Firstly, I am not aware of the information... Does your diagnostic tool has real-time data capabilities? If such is the case, I would examine the readings of the corresponding diesel particulate filter (DPF) pressure sensor while the car's engine is running. Additionally, I would observe the readings while the throttle is pressed. Next, do a comparison with the expected values. If there is no indication, it is possible that the sensor has malfunctioned and requires replacement. Certain diagnostic instruments have the capability to do a forced regeneration of the dpf. It may be worthwhile to explore this option. However, it is advisable to wait for someone with expertise in this area to provide more informed guidance.
  15. I fail to get the rationale for want an always activated hotspot, however: Can you connect the gadget to a portable power bank and then connect the power bank to charge from the seat? While the automobile is not running, the gadget is connected to the battery pack. While the automobile is running, the gadget is connected to the car's battery pack, which is now being recharged by the car.
  16. There is no definitive rule that universally determines what is effective and what is not. Over the last 15 years, dealers have progressively shown a growing indifference towards the whole customer experience provided by MB.
  17. When dealing with a retail goods, your first contact should be the store. An Approved Used automobile is often supplied with the guarantee that the AU warranty is provided by the manufacturer and that you have the backing of the whole official dealer network. Although the OP's use of several dealers does not contribute to their argument, the main purpose of the MB AU plan is to allow customers to purchase a vehicle in Truro and get servicing in Inverness. Indeed, with reflection, some individuals may choose to decline accepting a vehicle if they see a warning light upon its collection. However, this approach is not universally adopted, particularly among those who are encountering such a circumstance for the first time. Regarding the automobile, the original poster (OP) must determine what is acceptable and what is not. Wiper judder is an irritating occurrence that is likely to divert one's attention. The issues that have been rectified are now completely fixed, and they may also be seen as a diversion. However, the malfunctioning of lighting and electrical components is a matter that requires prompt care throughout the warranty term. If there is an unresolved underlying problem, it should be calmly raised first with the individual dealer and then with the manufacturer, MB. In the case of a potential misunderstanding, both the dealer and MB should be capable of providing a clear explanation.
  18. I applied Vikal to the little apertures on the blades and allowed it to sit for around an hour. This effectively eliminated any accumulation of scale, restoring their proper functionality.
  19. That is an excellent deal. I purchased a pair of items from a merchant two years ago, and each item cost £800.
  20. Star is also an excellent Mercedes expert. It is unnecessary to consult a primary dealer in order to detect a seat inflation problem. I am certain that there are several reputable independent Mercedes-Benz service providers in Essex that may be recommended.
  21. The car is quite impressive. Wishing you good health. PS. I am not experiencing any feelings of jealousy whatsoever. 🙄🙄😆
