Guidance for daughter's travels.

A query for all proprietors residing in London or the surrounding Home counties.
Over the last five years, my daughter, who is married to a Dutch Special Forces marine, has developed a friendship and maintained correspondence with a Chelsea Pensioner.
Regrettably, dad has died at the age of 99, and she wants to be there at his burial. She inquired about the optimal accommodation and secure transport options for arriving by automobile.
As I am completely clueless, any guidance or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

The most optimal route to reach this location is by taking the M1 motorway, then heading west on the A406, continuing on the A40 towards London, and then taking the A3220 all the way to Chelsea.

Regarding accommodation, there are many affordable options available, however it is important to exercise caution. I found that the Hilton Olympia was the only hotel that provided a satisfactory balance between quality and affordability. Additionally, this hotel provides the convenience of secure parking. Another option is Kensington Prime. Clearly, it is not Chelsea, but the distance between the two places is one mile.

Securing parking may be challenging in Kensington due to the abundance of residential parking spaces, which are strictly regulated until 10:30pm on weekdays. Additionally, there are pay-per-hour parking spaces available, however it is necessary to relocate your vehicle to a different zone every two hours. I would like to just pay the £65 fine and move on from the situation.
During the weekend, it is permissible to park on single red lines.

In such scenario, a location in Kent that is situated along a main commuter railway line would likely be the most advantageous choice. Maybe Maidstone or Chatham? Alternatively, if you go farther into the area, Dartford or Bexley, the cost of lodging is likely to increase.

I am uncertain about the cost of the EuroTunnel for a vehicle and two people. However, I anticipate that repeat flights from Amsterdam to Heathrow would not be much more expensive, depending on the specific dates. Additionally, flying would require considerably less time.

Have the flights been priced?

A brief examination of Skyscanner indicates that the cost of a flight from Amsterdam (AMS) to London Luton (LTN) is almost half the price of a flight from Amsterdam (AMS) to London Heathrow (LHR). However, it is important to consider the additional expenses associated with the travel from Luton to Chelsea.

Additional information: There is a consistent Thameslink rail service available from LTN to Blackfriars, indicating that it is a feasible option.
