  1. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires on my 2019 E63S estate perform well, save for occasional skipping at low speeds on cold tires during winter. However, I also own a set of winter tires that I swap to when this issue becomes excessive.
  2. One or two experts are emerging who provide battery refurbishments at around half the cost of a new battery. Conduct a Google search to see whether there is one in your vicinity.
  3. The boot lid on my R129, which had strut assistance, was surprisingly hefty to lift.
  4. Refer to my preceding post.
  5. From the DVLA. Since 1977, all vehicles registered in the UK have been mandated to include a speedometer that can display speeds in both kilometres per hour (km/h) and miles per hour (mph).
  6. Is it a servo or a vacuum pump?
  7. Resuming the pursuit πŸ‘ I have seen recent versions priced at around $20,000. Minimal mileage.
  8. Regrettably, there is no information available; I was just provided with details on the discs and pads, hence I will not be forward with the viewing.
  9. The 2017 vehicle has 65,000 miles, but the vendor claims there is no record of any history on the iDrive system, which I find peculiar, prompting me to investigate the reason for this discrepancy. πŸ€”
  10. Thank you; it is a private transaction.
  11. Hi everybody, I've seen a vehicle but allegedly all tye service history is gone on the system? Anyone have this problem previously as I've attempted to search but couldn't find anything? Thank you in advance
  12. It is not very challenging if your DIY abilities and expertise with other vehicles are enough, and as Atraudes said, you own the pretty standard tools. The most challenging aspect, but still very worthwhile, is the "heater manifold" pipe (cross-over pipe) located at the rear of the engine. If you own a store, go with it; it likely will not include the replacement of other associated components as previously said, however it will incur excessive costs nevertheless. I understand that by browsing and searching through the most recent pages of articles, you should be able to locate several threads and posts that provide insights and accounts from others who have had similar experiences and what they discovered and faced along the process.
  13. I am capable of operating a bus, however I lack knowledge about CAN bus and I-bus systems. Not of my interest whatsoever. Perhaps I could rectify the wiring on the Morris Minor, all five or six connections.
  14. My motto is to refrain from engaging with that which one does not comprehend. Neglecting a BMW's electrical system might result in significant financial loss.
  15. To OP, do you own the Nextbase model that accommodates a clip-in rear camera? I now own the 422GW with a clip-in rear camera, and it works well. Initially, I was doubtful about the image quality from the front camera through the rear window beyond the seats; nevertheless, it is very satisfactory.
  16. What is the power status at the relay? Is there a 12-volt supply, a proper ground connection, and 12 volts at the coil when the pump is activated? I presume that an E46 from that period used a regular relay for the fuel pump instead of a module. I am not well-versed on the E46, since I have never worked on them.
  17. Should I use the resistance setting instead of continuity? Attempt to measure whether there is 12 volts across the pump wires with the ignition activated.
  18. Mine works as anticipated, and I have configured it to the minimal slide-back setting.
  19. I just bought a X5 MHEV, what do you think about it's range in electric mode ?
  20. The duration of your journey and the intensity of your acceleration are the determining factors. I use my XC60 Recharge as if it were an Electric Vehicle, since 95% of my journeys are within the approximately 50 miles of EV range seen during the warmer months. My vehicle is set to begin in PureEV mode, transition to "B" (full regeneration) when in urban areas, and is equipped with No Creep, ensuring the XC60 remains stationary after halting. When I go on my journey, I will activate Hybrid mode so the XC60 can determine the optimal battery allocation. As previously stated, designating the location enables the vehicle to optimise battery use, hence minimising petrol consumption upon arrival. We do a 90-mile journey to my in-laws, achieving a fuel efficiency of typically 45-60 mpg upon arrival. It is indeed one of the best PHEV powertrains available on the market today. Electric vehicle for the majority of your driving requirements, with the practicality of a ten-minute refuelling pause to cover an additional 450-600 miles for cross-country travel.
  21. As you have purchased the Recharge version of the XC60, it is important to note that it is engineered to prioritise the use of energy from the electric battery. Recharging post-trip maintains the traction battery at optimal capacity. In the standard Hybrid mode, a fuel drop () will emerge on the Power Meter, indicating when the internal combustion engine (ICE) will activate; at that moment, the drop changes its appearance and descends on the meter. Our cars exhibit optimal efficiency while using electric power, achieving efficiency levels three to four times greater. However, they need a power source to recharge. Alternatively, the B5/B6 models are preferable since they lack the weight disadvantage associated with the 17.5 kWh battery pack. When utilising Google Maps for navigation, if your destination exceeds your electric range, the internal combustion engine (ICE) will operate and be augmented by electric power as necessary throughout the journey, aiming to arrive with 0 miles of electric range, as you will recharge upon reaching your destination. If you do not intend to charge upon arrival, you may request to Hold or Charge until you achieve a satisfactory EV range for usage after reaching your destination. I must do this during our summer holiday journey, since we have a boat crossing prior to arriving at our vacation home. I need around 6-8 miles of electric vehicle range upon arrival at the ferry pier to facilitate a visit to the local shop, followed by a journey to our residence where I can charge our XC60 Recharge. The distance is around 306 miles from origin to destination, with fuel efficiency averaging in the upper 30s (our most recent trip yielded an average of 36.9 mpg).
  22. If it is really true that keeping your key fob at a certain distance from your vehicle throughout the night is advisable, I suggest deactivating your spare key fob and storing the one you often use in a faraday bag. I have had my CX-30 for over three years now, and fortunately, I have not encountered any issues so far, *touching wood for good luck*.
  23. When faced with issues of this kind, it is advisable to thoroughly investigate the dealer's reputation before to purchasing the vehicle.
