  1. Despite wearing varifocal glasses, I still use the device even if I only see a blurry image when I quickly look at it. Upon careful observation and allowing my eyes sufficient time to readjust to the screen, I see the picture to be excellent, having a broader and brighter quality compared to the obscured vision provided by the rearview mirror of a vehicle equipped with privacy glass. The object seems to be of same dimensions on the screen as it does in the wing mirrors, and the light sources are subdued but still perceptible. In comparison to both my Evoque and my partner's Fiesta ST3, the back vision provided by the mirror in my FL2 was far superior.
  2. The new sensor did not include the o ring, so I decided to utilise the old one as it was still in excellent condition. There is no duplication of an o ring.
  3. Except for NGK/NTK, there were no similar options available on eBay at a price that was just one-third of the cost of an original product. I suspect that the issue lies in the exhaust sensor, as it is the only component I have not yet attempted to troubleshoot. The vehicle continues to operate efficiently; nevertheless, I am dissatisfied with the delay in acceleration at low speeds and the persistent illumination of the check engine light.
  4. NGK. This product is the closest alternative to the original, which costs $180.
  5. Greetings to everybody, I express my gratitude for giving me the opportunity to become a part of this community. I am entirely new to BMW and just purchased my first vehicle from the brand a few weeks ago. The car model is a 1997 328i. Acquired the vehicle at a very low price and it is in excellent shape. The vehicle has excellent performance in terms of running, driving, and shifting. However, it displays some hesitation, particularly at lower speeds. The revolutions per minute (rpms) fluctuate significantly until I reach around 3,000 rpms. I performed maintenance on the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor and installed a new intake cam position sensor. These were the only diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that were detected, and I received a scanner as a present along with the vehicle. The MAF code has been resolved, but, after erasing the cam sensor code and replacing it with a fresh one, the code reappears every time I switch off and restart the ignition. Furthermore, the issue I was experiencing persists. What is the likelihood that the issue is caused by the exhaust cam sensor, and would this sensor be capable of causing this problem? The scanner indicates that the cam position is fixed at 59 degrees and that the vanos is experiencing retardation. I need knowledgeable input on this matter. Thank you in advance
  6. Displaying a distance of 434 km on an Android device. After doing a refresh, the value was updated to 434 miles.
  7. I own a third key that has been programmed for the same situation you have described, or in the event that my key has inadvertently detached from my pocket and I am unable to locate it. Manipulating a vehicle weighing 5000 pounds would not be desirable under any circumstances. Even a little slope will result in unstoppable momentum once it starts moving.
  8. I have a query that is similar to the original poster's question. Can the TPMS be cleared and fresh TPMS be taught for automobiles that have previously stored two sets of wheels? I attempted to reset via OBDeleven coding, but it was unsuccessful. I am interested in understanding how others were able to effectively discard their existing knowledge and skills in order to acquire a new set of information without any external guidance. Desire to retain TPMS functionality.
  9. After tuning my E92 M3, the redline was increased to between 8700 or 8900 RPM, however I am uncertain of the exact value without checking the tachometer.
  10. I acquired my E220d vehicle yesterday. Currently examining warranty alternatives. The cost of the MB extended warranty is £800 per year, payable as a single lump sum. MB informed me that due to the vehicle's lack of warranty, the cost is higher and cannot be paid in installments. Opting for Motoreasy would be the most favourable choice since it offers a comparable level of coverage at a lower cost (according to the information provided). I would recommend selecting the most comprehensive level of coverage available, with no deductible, for a total cost of £1200 over a period of 3 years. Do you have any recommendations or personal experience with them? Upon examining Trustpilot, I have seen a combination of positive and negative evaluations. Consequently, I am uncertain as to whether it is advantageous to invest further funds in the purchase of an extended warranty for my MB. Expressing gratitude!
  11. Providing a visual representation of your media screen might assist us in confirming, but, I concur with @Tactical.
  12. Hello, I attempted to connect a USB splitter with three USB ports. All of them are USB 3. My intention was to use all three USB ports for both charging the phone and connecting it to the automobile. As for the other two ports, they are used for charging purposes, but they do not establish a connection between my phone and the automobile. However, it is possible to establish a link by use a conventional direct cable connection. In order to establish a connection between a phone and a vehicle, it is necessary to establish a direct link. It is not feasible to use an alternative method. Due to its ability to identify the first device that was connected.
  13. It is possible to both charge and connect my phone to my automobile using the wire I am using. Regarding the adapter I am using, it is specifically designed for computer use, specifically for the purpose of data transfer. I believe it is necessary to establish a direct connection...

    USB inquiry

Greetings once again, gentlemen. An inquiry about the USB port in the cx30: I purchased a USB adaptor equipped with three USB ports. This is not exclusive to automobiles. It is specifically designed for computers. I was unable to locate any USB adaptor specifically designed for automobiles. The USB adapter was connected to the USB port next to the lighter charging location, rather than the port located underneath the AC control. It is noteworthy that the USB adapter's light is illuminated and all three ports are operational, indicating satisfactory functionality. I connected my phone and confirmed that it is really charging. Indeed, the current functionality is satisfactory, allowing me to simultaneously charge my phone and two other phones. Regrettably, my information panel indicates that the USB device cannot be recognised. Indeed, I am unable to identify my phone. To verify, I disconnected the USB port and directly connected my phone using a single USB connection. The vehicle acknowledged the presence of my phone, indicating that I am able to charge it. However, the car is unable to recognise my phone, preventing me from using it with the car. I have not attempted the same task with a light charger. I am uncertain if the outcome will be same. Below are my inquiries: Was there an error on my part, or is it a common occurrence for the vehicle to fail to recognise my phone while using an adaptor connection or without a direct connection? Will the lesser charge location have the same outcome? Suppose I get an additional adaptor equipped with three USB ports. However, in this instance, I want to connect it to a lighter charging location rather than a USB port. Will my vehicle be able to detect my phone connection if I use a lighter charger with a USB adapter? 3) Is a direct connection necessary for the automobile to recognise my phone? Is it considered acceptable to keep the USB cable connected to the vehicle without using it while parking for the remainder of the day, or is this a similar practice? Thank you.
  15. Not interested in initiating anything, but curious about the reason. I am still sceptical about whether the airsprings can withstand leaping, but I have not attempted sand dune jumping with my Rangies. Agreed, we should not hijack this topic. Poorly maintained items may fail, but that should not be a concern.
  16. The EAS system is capable of handling most off-roading situations without compromising its functionality. If required, more lift may be achieved via several methods without affecting the EAS system. The becm's position is not an issue unless prolonged exposure to water is intended or if there is a significant issue with the door seals.
  17. 20 more brake horsepower has been added.
  18. I have driven 1301 kilometres with 90 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV). Yesterday, the automobile was connected to a charger that had previously charged it. When I left the home, the car's battery was dead. Needed to request roadside assistance. They arrived and jump-started the battery. The car operated well and without issues, however two caution warnings appeared. One PHEV Hybrid System failure and the other an Engine failure warning. It is now at the dealership. Show attention in their words.
  19. The primary justification for Diesel in this instance is its affordability. However, that is a long-standing debate. Do you want to pay a high price for a very desired model, or pay a low price for a vehicle that is not in demand in the market? I consistently opted for the latter option while purchasing autos. The factors contributing to the sale of 'undesirable' automobiles at low prices are many, and dependability is not necessarily the only determinant. If the rationale for obtaining a favourable price on a certain automobile model does not have a direct impact on me, I would gladly get one, as I have previously done.

  21. The location of the object may be found on the dashboard, often near the windscreen and in the vicinity of the passenger airbag.
  22. Only a subset of R8s manufactured between 2017 and 2020 are eligible for coverage. Unfortunately, mine is not part of the list that is covered. Mine's been garage stored and still delaminated. While not as visually unpleasant as other options, it is still undeniably unattractive.
  23. Is there anybody who has access to any wiring diagrams yet? Thank you.
