  1. Thank you for your assistance; I do the most of the maintenance myself, therefore I have no concerns with the oil changes and such tasks. Upon further consideration, I find myself more inclined towards the 4 Series, since it offers superior value while maintaining comparable performance to the 3 Series. I am curious about the hybrid; does it use the same chassis as the 3 Series, given it seems smaller than the conventional model in photographs?
  2. Understood. Is it a task that must be completed, or can it be extended with a satisfactory service history?
  3. Thank you for the information. What is the approximate pricing for this?
  4. In truth, I engage in a combination of driving; my everyday trip to work involves traversing many crossroads along the motorway. What is the performance of diesel engines with greater mileage, namely in the range of 80,000 to 100,000 miles? I believe that such mileage is not very concerning in today's context.
  5. Greetings to everybody. I am seeking to get a 3 Series. After years of contemplation, I find the white vehicles with gloss black diffusers and spoilers to be exquisite. I believe these are optional additions. I am seeking a model from about 2017 or 2018, however I am uncertain about the engine specifications. I have seen both the hybrid and the 2.0 diesel; thus, my inquiry pertains to any disadvantages associated with either option and which would be the superior decision. The aspect that dissuades me from hybrid vehicles is the performance of the batteries and their longevity over time.
  6. Yes they will and the windscreen business will be allowed to do this. Installing these sorts of screens necessitates that the vehicles be transported to the depot rather than changed on-site.
  7. Where may I locate you? I urgently want your assistance. Thank you in advance!
  8. Greetings. I am now in New Zealand, and it has completed 80,000 km. Maintained every 10,000 km, operates on 98 octane fuel. Serviced 5,000 km ago, with spark plugs replaced concurrently. While warming up is beneficial, I maintain that it should not be performed in that manner. No codes available either.
  9. Greetings. I own a 2017 Cooper S R55. Upon initial ignition, the vehicle operates erratically, and when shifted into reverse or drive, it exhibits symptoms of fuel deprivation and often stalls. When activated and allowed to warm for 20-40 seconds, the engine's revolutions decrease to around 500-750, without stalling, and operates normally. There is no additional pausing at traffic signals; it occurs just during a cold start. I am perplexed by this. It operates flawlessly in every other respects. Any answer would be highly appreciated.

  11. Fortunately, my R230 SL500 does not come equipped with Stop/Start technology. Richard Hollins is a highly recommended individual in York. He has expertise in handling many SLs (service level agreements) for different activities. In fact, he successfully managed six SLs, including mine, when my alternator malfunctioned during my trip to York last year.
  12. It is possible that the new thermostat is defective. Is it an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) thermostat, since aftermarket ones may not necessarily meet the same quality standards. While I'm not asserting that anything is incorrect, I am attempting to eliminate potential problems. Even with the use of your scanner, you should have the capability to observe and analyse engine data. What is the current temperature of the engine? 112C is a somewhat regular occurrence.
  13. Based on my inference, it seems that your OBD reader belongs to the bottom tier category. It is possible that there are some BMW/Mini codes that are currently pending and have not been detected by your scanner. In my opinion, I believe this to be of little value.
  14. Indeed. Other relevant papers pertaining to the extraction of subframes include: Install a customised self-leveling sensor and replace the rear spring link arms. The amount is £643. The cost of replacing the brake lines on both sides is £562. The prices shown already include the value-added tax (VAT).
  15. This is not a question, but rather some information that I would want to share with the group. Today, my 2012 W212 E350 estate with 81,000 kilometres failed its MOT. Deteriorated subframe. Evidently, this issue is often seen on this particular model. MB Colchester informed me that they had already reached out to MB UK, who have granted authorisation to cover the cost. Clearly, it is important to address additional issues such as brake lines and rear spring link arms while the main issue is being resolved. MB Colchester has verified the integrity of all newly installed bolts, brackets, and other components. Although the amount is still substantial, it would have been far more if MB UK had not taken action. I have had the automobile for a duration of 9 years, and this is the first significant repair I have undertaken, except the air suspension. Therefore, I have no grounds for complaint.
  16. Despite wearing varifocal glasses, I still use the device even if I only see a blurry image when I quickly look at it. Upon careful observation and allowing my eyes sufficient time to readjust to the screen, I see the picture to be excellent, having a broader and brighter quality compared to the obscured vision provided by the rearview mirror of a vehicle equipped with privacy glass. The object seems to be of same dimensions on the screen as it does in the wing mirrors, and the light sources are subdued but still perceptible. In comparison to both my Evoque and my partner's Fiesta ST3, the back vision provided by the mirror in my FL2 was far superior.
  17. The new sensor did not include the o ring, so I decided to utilise the old one as it was still in excellent condition. There is no duplication of an o ring.
  18. Except for NGK/NTK, there were no similar options available on eBay at a price that was just one-third of the cost of an original product. I suspect that the issue lies in the exhaust sensor, as it is the only component I have not yet attempted to troubleshoot. The vehicle continues to operate efficiently; nevertheless, I am dissatisfied with the delay in acceleration at low speeds and the persistent illumination of the check engine light.
  19. NGK. This product is the closest alternative to the original, which costs $180.
  20. Greetings to everybody, I express my gratitude for giving me the opportunity to become a part of this community. I am entirely new to BMW and just purchased my first vehicle from the brand a few weeks ago. The car model is a 1997 328i. Acquired the vehicle at a very low price and it is in excellent shape. The vehicle has excellent performance in terms of running, driving, and shifting. However, it displays some hesitation, particularly at lower speeds. The revolutions per minute (rpms) fluctuate significantly until I reach around 3,000 rpms. I performed maintenance on the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor and installed a new intake cam position sensor. These were the only diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that were detected, and I received a scanner as a present along with the vehicle. The MAF code has been resolved, but, after erasing the cam sensor code and replacing it with a fresh one, the code reappears every time I switch off and restart the ignition. Furthermore, the issue I was experiencing persists. What is the likelihood that the issue is caused by the exhaust cam sensor, and would this sensor be capable of causing this problem? The scanner indicates that the cam position is fixed at 59 degrees and that the vanos is experiencing retardation. I need knowledgeable input on this matter. Thank you in advance
  21. Displaying a distance of 434 km on an Android device. After doing a refresh, the value was updated to 434 miles.
