  1. Based on the reviews I have seen online, including on Rennlist and other forums, it seems that customers generally have had a favourable experience with Fidelity. I have also seen instances when the warranty exceeded its own cost. Several instances of unfavourable remarks I have seen include situations when an individual's expectations were not in line with the actual circumstances. For instance, we restored a defective component but declined to replace another component that the owner stated was also on the verge of failure, although not having actually failed yet. Although I have not yet seen their Facebook page, I will do so. A fidelity platinum is a plan that excludes certain individuals. Are you referring to Fidelity's denial of claims on legally obliged coverage when you say "they don't always pay"? Given this scenario, I anticipate a slew of legal actions being filed against them, which would get significant attention on both news outlets and social media platforms. I am unable to perceive that. Here, I am accompanied by Trenton...The validity of the guarantee extends beyond the mere replacement of the engine. The accumulation of little expenses for those who do not engage in do-it-yourself activities may be significant, particularly when carrying out tasks at a dealership. The determination of ROI is a personal task that requires considering factors such as the cost of admission, utilisation, and risk tolerance. If the price of the automobile is less than $10,000, spending $6.8,000 or less for a 10-year platinum warranty does not seem foolish. Regarding automobiles with higher mileage, I acknowledge that the warranty cost may be much more, and it is your responsibility to determine if it is worthwhile. It seems that in your situation, it is not, and I appreciate that.
  2. Is that so? This is prompting me to reconsider the 10-year fidelity warranty that I just acquired. However, I acquired it at a low cost due to the fact that my vehicle has less than 10,000 miles.
  3. I own an antiquated command, however it seems that it operates in a distinct manner.
  4. Apologies for the failure. I assume you have already examined the handbook by now.
  5. The act of unmuting may be achieved with a brief push, or alternatively, the volume level may have been adjusted to zero. There is a previous topic where the individual had to push the mute button and then press it again in order to activate it.
  6. To mute and unmute, press and hold this button. However, it is quite bothersome since you must do so while the person is speaking.
  7. I hesitate to classify them as commonplace, although V8 engines are available in several different vehicle chassis. Perhaps even more prevalent with the advent of dual turbochargers, but nevertheless, there are several alternatives available for V8 engines. On the other side, v10's are uncommon and exceptional. I would refrain from purchasing a V8 R8 due to the inherent reason that it utilises the same powertrain as an RS4. An exceptional automobile, but classified as a sports sedan. It detracts from my experience... If I had to sacrifice usability, I expect to get something exceptional in return, and that's precisely what the V10 with the gated shifter offers to me.
  8. R8-Stuff is often suitable for this purpose.
  9. If you must remove the engine, I suggest doing additional preventive maintenance tasks such replacing the oil pump shaft seals and motor mounts.
  10. Cease! One more question. My friend just received an EQB EV with AMG logos all over it, and even he is embarrassed by it. He is pleased because it is his partner's automobile.
  11. Consider the scenario when the bonnet has really been chopped.
  12. Avoid discussing phoney AMG badges with AMG owners, since it is a sensitive topic for them.
  13. I successfully replaced just the temperature sensor in a recent upgrade. In the original Mercedes model, I was unable to remove the sensor. However, I saw that the sensor in the Calorstat could rotate. I successfully removed it and replaced the sensor, achieving the desired outcome. Subsequently, everything has returned to normal, with fans and temperature operating correctly.
  14. Euros do not display a specific brand, whereas GSF exclusively offers quality products. I purchased a Calorstat from them last time, which are generally reliable, although I was unaware of the brand until I received it.
  15. There is an issue with a parts supplier. I prefer Topran products because they are often original equipment manufacturer (OEM). I have experienced a situation with Autodoc where they substituted a part from a manufacturer named Stark without my consent. Research indicates that Stark is a Chinese manufacturer owned by Autodoc, and I am not the only one who has encountered this issue. Main dealers are now out of stock with extended wait times, making it uncertain when they will have the product available.
  16. I tested the alternative sensor by just plugging it in while it was hanging freely in the air, still within its housing. The temperature was normal and the fans did not turn on, confirming its functionality. I attempted to extract the functional sensor from the previous casing, but it is firmly stuck and resistant to removal. Given the difficulty, I anticipate encountering the same issue with the sensor in the vehicle. There is a possibility of damaging the sensor socket, thus it is necessary to replace the whole housing with a new one.
  17. This evening, when I inserted the key and turned on the ignition without starting the engine, the temperature readout quickly rose to 90 degrees Celsius. The first difficulty indicates a problem with the temperature sensor, causing incorrect fuel settings due to the engine being cold while the computer believes it is at operating temperature. I will test the other sensor on Sunday. Conducted an air conditioning pressure scan as recommended before, and it shows a reading of 3 bar.
  18. I believe the temperature measurements should not be affected, which is why I am focusing on the temperature sensor.
  19. The coolant temperature sensor is located in the thermostat housing. I still have the original thermostat housing that I changed 5 years ago, and I plan to transfer the sensor over when I get the opportunity.
  20. Thank you for the recommendations. I do have iCarsoft. I will examine it. Meanwhile, I started the vehicle again and turned on the fans a few seconds later. Immediately, I saw the temperature gauge rise to 90 degrees Celsius. The temperature rose to 120 degrees Celsius and then decreased to 90 degrees Celsius. Is it likely the temperature sensor? What are your opinions?
  21. Today, I observed that the radiator fans on my E270 are running continuously after starting the vehicle. This occurs when the air conditioning and the heating systems are turned off. The engine temperature and coolant level are within normal range. I have conducted a scan for fault codes and found no issues. Do you have any recommendations? Could the fan temperature sender be defective? Thank you.
  22. $4500 seems excessive for carbon wheels.
