  1. Greetings to everyone, I recently had the pleasure of purchasing the aforementioned item. The shop I am using informs me that the issue with the automobile sputtering upon ignition is due to a defective choke, and they indicated that the only establishment that reconditions them is located in Germany. Can anybody recommend a company in the UK that provides this service? Your assistance would be much appreciated. Best regards
  2. Previous releases required a manual upgrade to the most recent version (likely November 23, based on recollection), after which automatic OTA updates may be enabled if desired. Vehicles manufactured after to that date will possess the latest software/firmware, therefore eliminating the need for a manual upgrade initially. As far as I know, the option to update using the KIA navigation website and USB persists. This option is essential for those with inadequate or unreliable mobile reception. My first encounters with OTA resulted in damaged data and extensive attempts to successfully finish the OTA process. I have used the USB option without encountering any complications. It seems necessary to choose or deselect the automatic option inside the options, but I cannot quite remember its location.
  3. Your financial balance seems to be declining this year; commendable effort if you can manage it.
  4. I see the forthcoming speed restriction via the windscreen, specifically upon reaching the sign. I apologise, but the modern devices beyond my understanding, and some seem to be based on common sense, in my opinion.
  5. The model in question is the 213; the OP and I own the 212, which lacks self-steering capabilities.
  6. Is it only indicating that the parking sensors are operational? The telltale on my dashboard activates at speeds below 15 MPH.
  7. Concurred It depends on whether the vehicle was purchased from Mercedes-Benz; if so, I would not decline it if the car is otherwise in excellent condition, such as being unblemished, having enough tire tread and brake life, not having been smoked in or exposed to pets, and possessing the appropriate specifications and colour. If you exchanged your automobile for another used vehicle, it may possess additional issues. I would recommend giving them an opportunity; if the vehicle is equipped with Mobilo, contact them for diagnosis and repair. They can also schedule an appointment for you, as I experienced firsthand. My vehicle had a NOx issue, and they arranged for a loaner car, an E-Class, while my GLE was serviced. They resolved everything within three days.
  8. LEDs have superior longevity and reliability. I sold my 14-year-old L320 Range Rover Sport with its original rear LED lights. I assume that the problem lies in the design and manufacturing quality, which permits moisture infiltration and retention. LEDs operate at far lower temperatures than traditional bulbs, preventing moisture from evaporating; yet, LR is content to consider this a problem. I am uncertain if other manufacturers have the same issue; nevertheless, if they do, I think they face similarly exorbitant replacement prices. I acknowledge your argument about their non-repairability, and it indeed suggests a tendency towards profiteering, since they likely only cost a few tens of pounds to manufacture.
  9. The seals will not possess any distinctive qualities. The banjo bolt will likely have either a copper seal or a bonded rubber seal. Dowty.
  10. It is advisable to use OEM shocks if you want to retain your vehicle for an extended period.
  11. I can repurpose the old one by applying extra strong thread lock, securing it in place, and then using a dull metal chisel to create indentations around the edge to ensure it remains fixed. For the final one, I fabricated a new core plug from an alloy billet and modified the angle.
  12. Unfortunately, this is rather prevalent among vehicles manufactured after 2010; BMW does not provide a core pug for the head in the UK.
  13. Exercise caution. BMW shops now provide two categories of 'pre-owned' vehicles. Approved Used Cars come with a 12-month extended warranty and a validated BMW service history. 2. Pre-owned Vehicles are often accompanied by a diminished or limited warranty, ostensibly owing to inconsistencies in the service history. I really doubt that one can get the BMW Insured Warranty for a vehicle from the second category. The first inquiry from the warranty representatives often is, 'Does it possess a complete BMW service history?'
  14. The chain seems to be in good condition. However, while operating at that level of power, be attentive to any auditory disturbances and promptly make adjustments upon detecting any. Uncertain about whether you will achieve the suggested miles, although it is difficult to predict.
  15. Assuming that the total cost includes both the components and the work, this is an excellent deal. 👍
  16. I saw a vandalised SLK vehicle listed on Copart's website. Both the front and back displays are shattered. Both items are readily available on eBay at a very affordable price. I verified throughout the auction. Attaching the front and rear screens on the SLK is a straightforward process that involves using bolts.
  17. Indeed, I believe they do. However, it is possible that I am mistaken.
  18. Extremely benevolent. Transporting an extra-long Viano may exceed your expectations. Additionally, there is the exuberant puppy weighing over 60 kilogrammes that drools on various objects. Hopefully everything will go well, but the "get me home recovery" option might be appropriate if anything goes wrong. Despite the previous occurrence of the AC compressor seizing and shredding the belt, I waited for their arrival for a duration exceeding 3 hours. Thank you, I will consider your offer.
  19. We depend on Google Maps to guide us in navigating our way through or around.
  20. According to my understanding, the closures will be in effect for the next two weekends, which means those weekends will be free for us. However, it is advisable to revisit the matter at a later time to ascertain the possibility of more closures. Will your alternative route remain effective if the M74 / M8 is accessible? https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/news/glasgow-news/glasgow-motorists-warned-disruption-m8-29603898
  21. We will be departing for the Higherlands on Friday, August 30th. For a duration of one week or longer. We are unable to depart Derbyshire until 2pm, which will result in us passing through Glasgee somewhere after 6:30pm. The first night will be spent at Arrochar. I am enquiring about the probability of encountering heavy traffic congestion on the M74/M8 route towards the Erskine Bridge. I am considering the possibility of taking a substantial stop in the Borders and using the road at a later time. It would be advantageous to get to the Village Inn early enough to have dinner. On the next day, we may drive at a relaxed pace to Inverness, passing via Loch Awe and perhaps taking a few enjoyable hikes along the way.
