  1. I have just installed Bilstein B16s on my F33 435d Xdrive. The contrast is stark; the automobile seems more aesthetically pleasing. Now that it is no longer on stilts, the ride quality has significantly improved, and in comparison to the original configuration, this two-ton vehicle now handles like a go-kart. I have configured the damping to 50% in the front and 40% at the back, which seems satisfactory. I will be posting images shortly, so please stay tuned. In the meanwhile, feel free to enquire if you want any information.
  2. Traveled the first 100 miles in my 1966 Sportage to our vacation. The car emerged slowly from the crossroads. On Upon arrival, the front offside brake was discovered to be binding, and the brake disc was scored. Odor of incinerating brake components. The local Kia dealership is willing to examine the vehicle; however, they are unable to schedule an appointment for three weeks as it was not purchased from them. Contacted RAC about "Safe to Drive." Upon returning home, my garage informed me that Kia was aware of certain braking issues. Confirmed safe for operation. Garage requested Kia for their "technical fix." Returned the vehicle for photographs of the issue to be sent to Kia. Return to the garage for the Kia mechanic to assess the issue. Did not appear. Replacing pads and discs in the garage all around. The Sportage has reengineered calipers with enlarged brake discs. The Kia Factory acknowledges the existence of many known concerns with the brakes on the Sportage. Symptoms may include screaming brake sounds, the car veering to one side, or ineffective braking. Certain defective brake pads damage the disk and exhibit uneven wear. Occasionally, certain vehicles throughout the UK exhibit the same issue. KX-2 134 horsepower Automatic
  3. The M50, M52, and M54 engines were exceptional, with no reports of chain failure. Subsequent models appear to have chains of inferior quality, and the injectors were reasonably priced and generally durable.
  4. I propose disconnecting the battery for a duration of ten minutes to reset the values.
  5. Discovered this: https://www.benzworld.org/threads/malfunctioning-loading-assist-easy-pack.3028032/
  6. I haven't observed it, to be frank. It is. The vehicle is now inoperable.
  7. It would be desirable to have such capability included into the idrive system as a standard feature. I am still astonished that the e60 model does not have a temperature gauge, which is quite astonishing.
  8. Investing in cleaning a dead diesel particulate filter (DPF) is futile since it will not revive its functionality. Similarly, a cleansed DPF will have a limited lifespan. Additives and other liquids are included with the intention of generating profit. This is only a marketing ploy with no other purpose.
  9. I feel the same way. If my travel is 5 minutes, I will extend it to 20 minutes in order to adequately warm up the engine and allow it to accelerate on a less congested route or dual carriageway.
  10. None of the chemicals will effectively preserve your diesel particulate filter (DPF). Only engage in extended periods of continuous running without any pauses and with a completely warmed-up engine.
  11. While there is a little possibility that it may be anything else, it is quite unlikely. Ideally, I would have charged the new batteries before installing it. However, if that was not possible, it may take several days for the cell to reach a sufficient charge level to enable the stop/start function. Additionally, there are many additional conditions that need to be fulfilled for the function to operate. In my own opinion, I would recommend waiting for a period of around one week before making any more decisions or taking any actions. Please inform us of the outcome. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
  12. The navigation system may be upgraded at no cost, however it requires some patience to complete the process. Adhere to these instructions for the FSC code: Access and retrieve the 2024 maps from this location: https://oemnavigations.com/products/road-map-europe-west-premium
  13. Consider using chrome polish since it is both effective and affordable.
  14. Could it be related to the concept of velocity? Yes, there are little pieces of double-sided tape on all the deflectors, but it is not sufficiently adhesive on some of them. I have attempted to get the desired items, but it seems that they are no longer accessible.
  15. What I have seen, particularly with heko ones, as they are the most widely liked kind. The most recent set I purchased was equipped with plastic clips, whereas the previous ones were equipped with metal clips. The metallic ones may be flexed to provide a more snug fit for the deflectors. The plastic ones are incapable of doing so. Did I have bad luck with the clips, or have others also had issues with the plastic clips? However, it is possible to purchase stainless steel.Products purchased from the online retailer Amazon.
  16. Tesla with a value of 430,000 dollars.
  17. Perhaps if the Oap whip were exhibiting a value of 500k....
  18. Typically, I deactivate the Auto Hold feature while parking since it facilitates manoeuvring the vehicle at low speeds. Therefore, I use the handbrake switch due to the absence of an automatic hold feature in my previous vehicle, and I have not yet broken the habit. Undoubtedly, it is a great advantage in congested traffic situations.
  19. We had a similar issue with our little Yaris car, where it required significant physical strength to disengage the drive on one occasion. However, the situation improved as we reached the conclusion of our journey. The battery, and therefore the alternator, were in a deteriorated state, lacking sufficient power to operate the steering motor effectively at very low revolutions. I asked my wife to read the guidebook on my behalf. A red 'PS' indicator should have illuminated on the dashboard. Initially, it did not, but it subsequently did. An really peculiar anomaly that I had not encountered previously...nor have I encountered it since.
  20. There is a wide variety of soaps available. You simply want to use a certain vehicle wash detergent. These soaps will produce a significant amount of foam, yet they have a neutral pH and do not include any abrasive substances. My preferred choice is Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam due of its compatibility and effectiveness with my foam cannon. However, there are other alternative soaps that may be superior. I believe that my car detailer used the Sonax brand. My detailer advised me against using soaps that claim to include ceramic materials. Simply use standard soap.

  22. Eliminates minerals from the water and minimises the formation of water spots.
  23. Although I don't often need to clean my wheels, when I do, I begin with using Sonax wheel spray and then proceed with auto soap and a wheel woollie. I use deionized water for the purpose of rinsing, followed by using a vehicle drier to facilitate the drying process. Frankly speaking, the Sonax is likely to be futile since it is specifically designed for removing dust from metallic wheels. However, because I own a substantial amount of the material in my garage, I persist in using it.
