LimeLing
Greetings, everyone. I want to purchase a wind deflector for my 2010 A207 E-Class Cabriolet. I see many possibilities in the aftermarket priced between £150 and £400. Has anybody encountered purchasing the non-Mercedes alternatives? I will not using it often (England lacks sufficient sunshine), so minimising expenditure is preferable; nonetheless, I want to avoid purchasing an inferior product that rattles or does not fit properly. I would appreciate any input before I proceed. Thank you in advance.
Adv3nture
I see that with the hood retracted and the wing above the windscreen extended, the wind is not very strong. Conserve money and purchase takeout meals.
AmericaMonster
That aligns with my reasoning. 😁😋
Thenornpo
Acquired a new item from Holland on eBay for around £150. Very robust; it does not fold into quarters, just in half. It provides assistance, but being overseas offers me further reassurance that any lightweight goods in the rear seat will not be displaced. Would I repurchase? Affirmative. Syncephe
Is it possible to keep this in place while the roof is retracted?

LimeLing
I do not believe it obstructs the roof during closure; the locators are positioned in the seatbelt holders, and the pins are located within the range of motion.
AmericaMonster
I consistently maintain the roof either up or down during the duration.
RosaStyle
I presume the non-folding variants are aftermarket, and as they do not fold, they will not fit in the trunk.

Kenjibb
I had both; the deflector can be elevated continuously without obstructing the roof. It is much quieter and more efficient than using the windscreen deflector. A foldable item will fit in the trunk, but it will limit further storage capacity. The Mercedes deflector that collapses into quarters is much more compact and convenient for storage. I purchased my authentic item on eBay, used it for six years, and then sold it for the original price.
