bellox
Greetings, everyone. I just acquired a brand new GT-Line S and am astonished that the Kia Connect app does not provide average MPG or trip MPG. Both the BMW app and the Mercedes app provide this information. Have I inadvertently overlooked it in the application? I have also heard that a manual upgrade via USB must be executed prior to the activation of over-the-air updates. Is that indeed the situation? Thank you very much
Samuraisaint
The Kia Connect app does not provide average miles per gallon, and to my knowledge, it never did. I am unable to address your question about the over-the-air upgrades; I disabled mine, but you were required to do so early last year.
Mututing
I own a 2023 Sorento and I was required to do a manual upgrade, which thereafter activates the OTA.
Samuraisaint
While this was the situation, vehicles shipped in the latter part of the previous year and beyond were equipped with the latest software, making USB updates unfeasible. I infer that the USB upgrade is no longer necessary. It is hoped that some individual possessing a recent 2024 - 2025 vehicle may provide confirmation. engrol
Previous releases required a manual upgrade to the most recent version (likely November 23, based on recollection), after which automatic OTA updates may be enabled if desired. Vehicles manufactured after to that date will possess the latest software/firmware, therefore eliminating the need for a manual upgrade initially. As far as I know, the option to update using the KIA navigation website and USB persists. This option is essential for those with inadequate or unreliable mobile reception. My first encounters with OTA resulted in damaged data and extensive attempts to successfully finish the OTA process. I have used the USB option without encountering any complications. It seems necessary to choose or deselect the automatic option inside the options, but I cannot quite remember its location.
Videoman
Last year, I incurred a cost of £80 for an OTA update. The download to USB was complimentary.
Mututing
I have no objection to paying £80 for two upgrades; it is much more convenient for the vehicle to do the updates autonomously rather than for me to manually download them. Notef
Utilise this, since I own an electric vehicle that displays energy use. Could it display MPG on your device? Page of status. Navigate to Vehicle Management. Select the report option. Energy utilisation.
