Cincoon
The Sport Lux model, available in March 2021, may be purchased via a 3-year PCP (Personal Contract Purchase) agreement. After a period of 2 years and 7 months, my Mazda had its first failure to start. Mazda Assist promptly responded to the situation, identified a depleted battery, and successfully jump-started the vehicle at the roadside. Afterwards, the vehicle was taken to the nearby dealership for inspection, during which no issues were identified. Episode 2 - After a period of 6 weeks, the identical condition arises again, surprisingly in the exact same area. The technician who visited before, conducted the same diagnostic, and obtained the same conclusion as the dealership investigation. Episode 3 - On the previous Tuesday, there was a failure to initiate (this time on my storage device). Mazda Assist promptly responded to the situation, conducted a thorough diagnosis, and the dealership thoroughly examined the matter. The dealership's best recommendation was to keep my keys at a minimum distance of 7 meters away from the car. This implies that I need to relocate the keys from their current storage position, where they have been since I received them in March 2021. Meanwhile, I must decide whether to replace the car after the 3-year PCP ends. After being a loyal Mazda customer for 22 years, I am now faced with the decision of whether or not to spend more than £13k on the balloon payment for a car that has recently become unreliable. I have sent this matter to Mazda Customer Relations for further action. We will now await the outcome. Finally, reason triumphs. After retrieving my vehicle following Episode 3, I am leaving the showroom with a firm determination to never return. However, I unexpectedly encounter the Salesman who negotiated my CX30 deal (now the Sales Manager) at the dealership. Upon learning the purpose of my visit, he informs me that I require a battery replacement. Consequently, 40 minutes later, I depart from the dealership with a newly installed battery. Mazda, it is imperative that you become aware of and take action to instruct your Service teams to resolve this issue promptly.

bellox
The subpar OEM/Factory flooded-cell batteries have a little chance of lasting 2-3 years in modern, technology-packed automobiles. Be grateful that you were able to use yours for 2.5 years before encountering any problems. Some individuals fail to successfully navigate the first year without encountering challenges. Substitute it with a high-quality 650+CCA AGM battery that is the appropriate size and fit, and the issue(s) will be resolved. Prior to reaching the 2-year milestone, I took the initiative to replace the original battery in my CX-30, even though it was still functioning. I made this decision because I was aware of the potential risks involved, as I had previously had many battery failures with my 2020 Toyota during a difficult 2-year period before purchasing the CX-30 in 2022. Mezuzzi
Fourteen days ago, I need assistance from AAA to jump-start my vehicle on a very frigid day with a temperature of 20 degrees Fahrenheit in my residential vicinity of New Jersey, which is in close proximity to New York City. Although my CX-30 is still relatively young, being less than 3 years old (29 months) after its purchase, it has already accumulated over 38,000 miles. Consequently, it is no longer covered by the basic warranty. To avoid repetition, I replaced it with a 650 CCA battery (not an AGM) from NAPA and personally installed it. The batteries in my previous automobiles, which I bought brand new, typically lasted between 4 and 7 years. The factory-installed battery, rated at 520 CCA, is significantly inadequate in terms of specs, particularly considering the increased power requirements of contemporary electronic devices, such as a manually fitted dash cam. baelicious
Replace the starter promptly if noticing a decrease in its speed. If not, it may cause significant disruption with key fobs and warning indicators. The battery is of poor quality. I recommend purchasing one with a Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) rating of 660 or higher. I purchased mine at Sam's and it is excellent. I personally inserted it to ensure that it is securely fastened.
Grundysp
When faced with issues of this kind, it is advisable to thoroughly investigate the dealer's reputation before to purchasing the vehicle.
Cincoon
Throughout my 17-year tenure with the dealer, I have purchased a total of 4 cars. It appears to me that since the batteries are not showing any signs of being defective, the dealer lacks the means to shift the responsibility of replacing them onto the battery manufacturer. Consequently, they are employing the excuse of no fault, in the hopes that the customer will purchase a new battery independently.
Hypabl
Is the problem persisting after the battery replacement? I had the same problem with my 2021 CX30, and the battery was replaced, only to have another failure two weeks later. The user's text consists of an emoji depicting a rolling eyes expression. I was informed that I must have inadvertently neglected to turn off my lights. I am incredulous that I left my lights on!
Grundysp
If it is really true that keeping your key fob at a certain distance from your vehicle throughout the night is advisable, I suggest deactivating your spare key fob and storing the one you often use in a faraday bag. I have had my CX-30 for over three years now, and fortunately, I have not encountered any issues so far, *touching wood for good luck*.
bellox
Be cautious, since some Amazon Faraday shield products/bags may not function well. Additionally, it is possible to unlock your car by touch even while the FOB is within certain Faraday containers, as long as you are holding it outside your vehicle at close range. I keep both of my FOBS, with one set to hibernation mode, inside my house or room. I place them in a small stainless steel cookware container with a fully enclosed metal cover. This container effectively blocks the signal completely, regardless of the distance.
Startle
I had the same thing! After three months and 1015 km, the 2024 Turbo automobile has become inoperable. The automobile keys are stored in a Faraday box located far away from the garage where the car is parked. There are no warning signs, no lights or any other electrical devices left on, and the battery is completely dead. I had the battery examined at a reputable independent establishment, and it was found to have no charge. Even after connecting it to a charger, it still indicated no charge. This clearly suggests a faulty battery, since a battery in optimal condition would have successfully received the charge from the battery charger. Let's await the response of the Dealer. I have never had such a problem with my Mustang or Rabbit, and I am astonished that a vehicle with Mazda's esteemed reputation has failed in this regard. Perhaps if they were to assign an animal name to this car, the curse would be eradicated!
baelicious
In this instance, the issue is an internal battery malfunction, which is a manufacturing defect that occurs sporadically. It should be completely covered and replaced at no cost under the standard warranty. Regrettably, the dealer intends to substitute the original battery with a similarly feeble one that has a Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) rating of 525, when a suitable replacement should have a CCA rating of 650 or more to account for the ongoing power loss from the vehicle's electrical components. Syncephe
Ensure that you do not have any external devices that contribute to the idle power consumption of your car, particularly if you continue to use the subpar original equipment manufacturer (OEM) battery. Recently, I have come across information regarding certain Toyota (and other) dealerships secretly installing third-party GPS trackers, data collection devices, and immobilisers on new cars, without informing the buyers. These additional devices have been found to drain the batteries, leading to battery failures or depletion. This issue is exacerbated by the fact that new vehicles nowadays are equipped with OEM factory batteries that are barely sufficient. Uncertain whether any Mazda stores have implemented this practice, but it is rather unsettling that any of them engage in it. It is advisable to check under the lower dashboard to see whether there are any concealed dealership-installed gadgets connected to the primary data input port located in that area. Startle
The Dealer said that the automobile must have the defective battery, after which they do a diagnostic scan that produces a code, which is then documented. Subsequently, the failed battery will be replaced with an identical unit, followed by another scan to capture this code. Only when Mazda deems it necessary will they consider replacing the battery, and even then it will be with a battery of the same average quality. Indeed, I own both a dashcam and an immobiliser. These gadgets are essential for several reasons. The dashcam enters a state of "sleep" while it is parked. The immobiliser has a negligible power consumption. Despite being connected to a battery charger while parked for a week, the original battery of the automobile failed and did not take any charge. Please refer to the attached diagnostic report for further information. I opted for the aftermarket 650CCA battery, which required me to pay for it out of my own cash, as opposed to the original 530CCA battery. The automobile is functioning well, as it starts easily even after being parked for many days without a battery charger.
