Wind deflectors

Are wind deflectors effective? I have seen the remarks on this platform from a few years ago on the impact of these devices on the automatic movement of windows. Are they worth acquiring or should they be disregarded?

The windows will be functional after being operated several times.

I have installed these in many vehicles and have had them on my own vehicle since I purchased it.

I had just removed my today because of their susceptibility to UV damage.

I am currently removing these since it enhances the overall visual appearance.

I have had no problems with mine. If the window sashes are properly positioned in the window channel, they will not interfere with the operation of opening or shutting the windows.

I have had no problems with the operation of the windows on my vx-line for around 5 years. Whenever I tried to raise the window on my old vehicle, if the deflector had shifted even slightly, it would activate the anti-trap sensor and cause the window to lower again. Subsequent recalibration of the deflector would suffice for a duration of many months.

What I have seen, particularly with heko ones, as they are the most widely liked kind.
The most recent set I purchased was equipped with plastic clips, whereas the previous ones were equipped with metal clips.
The metallic ones may be flexed to provide a more snug fit for the deflectors.
The plastic ones are incapable of doing so.

Did I have bad luck with the clips, or have others also had issues with the plastic clips?

However, it is possible to purchase stainless steel.Products purchased from the online retailer Amazon.

The ones I purchased, which I believe are speed line or a similar brand, included metal clips. However, the heko ones I previously had on both my Astra's (Mk3 and 5) did not come with clips. Instead, I used double-sided tape to secure them and kept the windows closed for 24 hours to ensure proper bonding of the adhesive. I never encountered any problems with them shifting or moving. I have used the same procedure to my insignia and, so far, I have not encountered any problems (hopefully, that will continue to be the case).

Could it be related to the concept of velocity?

Yes, there are little pieces of double-sided tape on all the deflectors, but it is not sufficiently adhesive on some of them.

I have attempted to get the desired items, but it seems that they are no longer accessible.

Those are the ones!

Yes, I do attach extra pieces to the upper edge of them, allowing them to be placed wherever.

I was previously only familiar with Heko, then I came across Ispeed, which had positive ratings. I decided to give it a try, and so far, it has been satisfactory.

I had two sets of automobile keys for two different vehicles. 1 set of Helko and 1 set of iSpeed.
I did not use any clips or double sided tape at any point.
The effort required to immobilise them prevents their movement.
I strive to be distinctive.
