  1. Indeed, I see your point. Is it possible that a faulty remap or perhaps a compromised sensor is to blame for the high egt problem?
  2. MacG won the Derby at Barrow. By the time I finished the map, the ecu tune had gone well, however the tcu map had a problem. According to what I was told, they were able to remove the file but were unable to return it to the tcu. So it was inaccessible for three weeks. The gears have been functioning properly ever since they got it working again. The numbers on the sports display indicate more than 400 nm of torque, which wouldn't be there if it were stock.
  3. Yeah, I didn't see any dpf problem warning lights. A couple of months ago, I did have a code for excessive exhaust gas temperature. I simply drove it over without looking into it because I am not very vehicle smart.
  4. Hi, A drivetrain problem and white smoke from the exhaust were symptoms of a strong pull on the highway. There was what seemed like a large vacuum leak, a braided line that had popped off the side of the engine block, and white powder (presumably cat matrix) covering the exhaust. After having the stuck-open thermostat fixed (about 12 months ago), the temperature in the automobile returned to its usual range. I had the car remapped around seven months ago, and everything was running smoothly until the most recent breakdown. Could the remap hastened the dpf meltdown since it was already jammed from cold running before I got it? Any information or suggestions regarding this would be much appreciated! Much obliged.
  5. This is just the humble opinion of a long-lost internet noob, but..... I fail to see why that particular module is disproportionately prone to bricking during removal compared to the undoubtedly hundreds of thousands of modules that mechanics handle daily with scant regard for static discharge prevention. No need to rush out and get the ungrounded EIS after scuffing your feet on the shag rug in your shop. That probably didn't require saying, but I went ahead and said it nevertheless. Even though kraut engineers have made it harder and harder to duplicate their keys over the years, I'd be surprised if a good locksmith couldn't be located in Denver, Colorado, for a vehicle that's 30 years old. AI can be a great help in that search. Furthermore, simply tell it to get twisted if it insists on fighting against your notion. On a daily basis, I slur at Gemini. Abuse works wonders on it.
  6. Just to clarify, my first inquiry was... Car is a little newer (2013) and it has an ML, but the EIS mount is probably not drastically different. I broke mine because I had a hard time removing the trim bezel. Even though it didn't show, the cracked version was still functional, but it was annoying, thus that was an extra expense for the job. I don't think it was necessary to remove the bezel, which is probably why it snapped while I was removing it. The retaining fixture was rather complicated, and since then, I've forgotten most of the specifics. To find out what to do, I jammed my phone into it and took a bunch of images. I had a hard time finding any guidance online, but removing the module was a breeze after I got the hang of the system. With access to additional information online, your model can seem different. In general, it is not a particularly challenging task. It could be a 2 out of 10. A repair company in Edmonton quickly returned mine when I shipped it there. No problems whatsoever. It was a lengthy drive, but I did find places that would fix my car if I brought it in.

  8. I will not interpret that literally! It occurs above the freezing point, specifically below 10°.
  9. Similar to the previous year, the Electric Vehicle Parking Brake issue appears as soon as the temperature drops when I initially commence driving.   11. I apologise if this seems trivial, but may it be that the radio signal for your current station has diminished? This frequently occurs with DAB radio stations. Is it consistently the same station? Does this occur while listening to any pre-recorded music, whether via CD, internal storage, or Spotify? If not, the aforementioned issue may be the cause. I have been awaiting the auto installation update for over 12 months, and it feels interminable.

  18. Are you referring to the fuel pressure of the injection pump or the fuel pump located in the tank? I possess just Forscan. Can I measure the pressure using this program? The value during cranking ranges from 417 to 436 kPa. What is the significance of this? Is the pressure insufficient for an injection pump?
  19. To release the high-pressure pipe nuts and begin the engine? The issue with this 1.4 TDCi engine is that loosening the bolts necessitates the removal of the cylinder head cover. I must begin the engine without the cover. Are you aware of an other method to bleed the fuel system of this engine? Is there a bleeding handbook from Ford (ETIS), or must I fully comprehend the engine system for good DIY bleeding?
  20. Greetings! My 2008 Ford Fusion 1.4 TDCI has been inoperative for many weeks. It started abruptly, and I was unable to initiate it in a market parking area. Subsequently, I managed to start the vehicle and drove home. Upon arriving home and halting the vehicle, it gradually ceased operation, as if devoid of petrol. Two years ago, I saw that the area around the injectors is damp. I removed them, cleaned them with an ultrasonic cleaner, and replaced the seals, since I believed that was the issue. After I construct the automobile, I am unable to start it. Approximately two years ago, I replaced the fuel filter. Today, I replaced the pipes connected to the hand pump and the gasoline pump inside the tank, although the outcome remains same. Can the injectors be responsible for the problems? I am uncertain if the gasoline reaches the engine. Upon pressing the hand pump, gasoline and air traverse the pipe and return the same distance upon releasing the pump. The glow plugs are functioning properly. Is there a method to manually inject gasoline into the engine? I am uncertain about how to proceed with the search process. Is there anybody familiar with this kind of situation that can assist? Best regards
  21. I own an identical automobile and am experiencing the same issue as you. Indeed, there is an update available for my24. However, while inspecting the VIN number, I saw that the tenth letter is "t," indicating that it belongs to the my25 model. Therefore, I am unable to proceed with the update until my25 comes on the list. It is uncertain if my assumption is correct, and we will need to wait for many months to find out.
