What is the most effective method for causing tyres to emit smoke?
KnightNewscast replied to Syncephe's topic in General
Discouraged for those without prior experience. Driving an all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle is much more challenging, and any damage incurred is also more costly to fix. -
I have recently seen...I believe that my first perception of what I saw in my automobile may have been incorrect. Make sure to disable the "auto" function and set the thermostat to a higher temperature than the inside of your vehicle. If you would, please test it with me. It is posited that when the "auto" function is off and the aforementioned requirements are satisfied, the airflow may be impeded until a satisfactory temperature is attained. It is important to note that today has been a long day for me, since I have been working since around 0300 and I have depleted my coffee supply.

If the temperature in the automobile is set below the ambient temperature, it will produce a chilly airflow. Nevertheless, if you have it configured as mentioned before, I think it should refrain from emitting cold air until it reaches the temperature requirement of the environment. I may be mistaken. You may consider having a dealer examine it.

Hello Sumoto, I appreciate your timely answers, friend. I lack expertise on automotive matters. Approximately two years ago, I had an oil leak, and this image was one of the ones my technician shared with me. Currently experiencing an unusual problem where my 4 series is loosing oil pressure specifically at highway speeds. Most postings on this topic report low oil pressure at idle or while braking, with pressure increasing as RPMs grow. In contrast, my issue is the reverse. I suspect I may have harmed my engine since the oil pressure indicator has illuminated twice while I was driving at 70mph, leading me to overanalyze and inquire about metal shavings. I just had her undergo a comprehensive service, including a flush and oil change. However, the pressure lamp illuminated for the second time on my trip back home yesterday night. Exasperated!

Hello everyone, Can someone confirm whether these particles in my oil are metal shavings? Thank you!

I have used a compact diagnostic apparatus to conduct a check, following the directions which specify to keep the ignition on and thereafter connect the device. However, the predicament is in the fact that the problem notice only appears while the engine is running. -

2016 Mercedes-Benz C220 The auxiliary battery has already been replaced. -
Greetings, everyone. I encountered the alarming dashboard warning message instructing me to stop the car and keep the engine running. This warning would intermittently vanish and reappear after about one week. Particularly after an extended jog! After many months, the indicator still did not vanish, prompting me to replace the vehicle battery with one I had stored in my garage. I made sure that the battery was fully charged. The problem I am experiencing is that the notice persists even after replacing the battery. I have brought the vehicle to KwikFit, where they performed a battery test and confirmed that everything is in proper working order. Earlier, I encountered a failure notice about the auxiliary battery. I promptly replaced the auxiliary smaller battery, resulting in the immediate disappearance of the fault message. I am somewhat perplexed. Is it possible that the alternator is the cause? The automobile has consistently starting without any complications. Nevertheless, the dashboard indicator appears and cannot be dismissed? The only observation I have made is that when the vehicle is started, the dashboard screen momentarily turns dark before the motor begins. I believe it was an error on my part to install a previously unused battery that was there in my vicinity. despite indicating a full charge. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Electrically operated handbrake, often known as EPB.
KnightNewscast replied to Cleverco's topic in General
Similarly, I have also replaced brake pads many times as well as callipers and rotors/discs. Detached the handbrake cable and reattached it upon completion. Prior to using the handbrake for the first time after reassembling it, I fully pressed the brake pedal until I felt maximum resistance. Encountered no problem. Currently, I possess knowledge on the epb, albeit it is unrelated to the current topic. -

In your situation, OP, I would have questioned the need of changing the coolant if there has been no evidence of leakage. -

Mercedes-Benz dealerships are very disreputable. My W251 vehicle was brought in for a brake booster recall three months ago. I personally maintain and possess comprehensive knowledge of my autos. Upon inspecting the automobile during the recall, they informed me that they had identified many issues that need immediate care, such as a broken brake fluid tank and several damaged brackets. According to them, the automobile is inoperable till repaired and the cost of fixing it would be $1.1k. I entered forcefully, since it was evident that they were responsible for the damage and were attempting to make me pay for it. Ultimately, they expressed their intention to rectify everything as a symbolic act. Viscous excrement. I am MB from Nottingham. -
I will do the task, my friend. Have you had the opportunity to communicate with the exhaust specialist to get the pricing for the exhaust system and the re-mapping service?
-
Thank you. I see that you engage in this kind of labour. May I know the price, please?
-
Greetings, I appreciate your response. I purchased the vehicle three months before. There are no issues being shown. The approximate mileage is about 99,500 miles. The book contains service history stamps, but none of them pertain specifically to the timing chain.

At what kilometres should the timing belt be replaced for a 2012 Cooper 1.6 diesel?

I would want to purchase Autoglym products. I made the decision some time ago to only use Autoglym. After experimenting with several products from various manufacturers, I must admit that they are all rather similar in quality. In my opinion, the Autoglym Rapid Detailer is comparable to the Sonax BSD, as it performs well and has a pleasant fragrance.

If the purpose is to maintain the mouse population by using their collective body heat to keep the inner screen from freezing, it could actually prove to be counterproductive. (Oh, rats) -
I have monitored this case from its inception, when it first garnered public notice via Computer Weekly. Several noteworthy aspects caught my attention: Evidently, the PO administration had the belief, which was likely accurate, that a small number of sub-postmasters were engaged in embezzlement and fraudulent activities, but they lacked the necessary evidence to substantiate their claims. The fact that Horizon seemed to be detecting instances, as anticipated and shown, confirmed their perspective. The phenomenon you are referring to is known as confirmation bias. Fujitsu conducted a covert "data correction" initiative due to their awareness of certain operational conditions that would result in inaccurate reported balances. The absence of a transaction audit trace in this procedure is unacceptable. The procurement officer (PO), in collaboration with Fujitsu, failed to provide enough assistance via the helpdesk and intentionally aimed to deceive those who reported balance difficulties by asserting that they were the only one experiencing such problems, therefore isolating people with legitimate concerns. Evidently, none of the individuals in the PO has the intelligence or insight to formally request the helpdesk logs from Fujitsu and thoroughly examine or evaluate them. Instead, they chose to accept the notion that fraud had been detected (see to point #1). The Post Office undertook a deliberate and covert operation to obstruct any attempts to uncover the underlying issues raised by the sub-postmasters' grievances. Recently, it has been revealed that the postal office intentionally deceived its targets, going so far as to accuse them of theft even though their own investigators had determined that there was no evidence to support the accusation. This was done with the sole purpose of pressuring them into admitting guilt for a lesser offence of false accounting. This technique is both corrupt and unlawful. In the end, there are many individuals in both the PO and Fujitsu who are accountable for this situation. The individuals responsible should be identified and, more significantly, subjected to appropriate sanctions for their acts. Targeting the CEO as the symbolic leader of the organisation may seem deceptively straightforward, but there are likely many others who have even more responsibility. Regarding the sub-postmasters who have been impacted, I do not support a general pardon for all of them, since some may have really committed acts of embezzlement and fraud. However, the duty of evaluating each case should be taken away from the Post Office and given sufficient resources to ensure a prompt resolution. To ensure compliance, the Public Official must be obligated to provide complete information in each instance without any redactions. This will also aid in identifying the individuals inside that company who should be held responsible.
