AmericaMonster
I am unable to use a spanner to remove the plastic cover on this injector. I would appreciate your assistance.
Captiva
Invert the pipe at the other end and extract the pipe containing the injector. Regardless, you will need to reverse the other end as the pipe will not deform enough to remove the injector. Once the head is removed, it will be possible to attach a spanner to it without any obstruction.
AmericaMonster
Thank you, I had already largely undone the other end, but I was still encountering difficulties. I attempted to use an 18 and successfully reversed it, but I am uncertain about my ability to securely fasten it due to frequent slippage and near-rounding of the nut. Should I insert an object into the hole after removing the injector to avoid the entry of dirt and metal shavings into the cylinder, since I will be using a seat cutting tool? Thank you. Talentrews
It is advisable to apply a generous amount of spray oil onto the cutting tool and thereafter remove and clean each turn or two. This practice helps prevent the accumulation of shavings on the tool, ensuring that they can be easily retrieved and do not impede the functionality of the cutter. Cleverco
Contrary to popular belief, an injector pipe socket effectively performs its intended function.
