Wordcar
Greetings, I have just taken possession of my GTline S hybrid Sportage. Can the USB ports in the chairs be permanently enabled? If a certain option is not available in the menu system, would it be possible for a major dealer to do the task? Thank you in advance
Racerse
From a physical standpoint, it is technically feasible to connect the HEV battery to the fuse box via cabling. However, it is important to note that if any devices are left plugged in, the minimal 12v capacity of the HEV battery would be quickly depleted. I found that a Dash Cam that is hardwired may operate continuously for 24 hours without any issues, however any device with a larger amperage will definitely not function properly. What you are asking is if a rechargeable battery pack with a capacity of 20000 or 30000 mAh will be sufficient to connect the device, and then you can just bring it inside to recharge it from time to time. Wordcar
Greetings, I appreciate your prompt reply. The burden is minimal, consisting just of a compact MiFi device (a local internet hotspot). The indentation on the passenger 🚢 headrest provides an optimal location to insert the gadget, and the adjacent USB C connector would be an appropriate power source for it. Are those ports physically connected or controlled by software?
Racerse
I would presume that they are physically connected....

Racerse
Based on the fuse diagram, the devices are regulated by Module 2 in the fuse box, which is safeguarded by a 15amp fuse. This module also governs the wireless charging pad.
Shadesmo
Although they may be hardwired, they will ultimately be controlled by software.

AmericaMonster
I fail to get the rationale for want an always activated hotspot, however: Can you connect the gadget to a portable power bank and then connect the power bank to charge from the seat? While the automobile is not running, the gadget is connected to the battery pack. While the automobile is running, the gadget is connected to the car's battery pack, which is now being recharged by the car.
VibrantShin
I doubt it is possible, but my concern would be that while the gadget may need little power, if someone else connects another device, such as a screen, it might drain the battery completely. Include the rationale for keeping the automobile operational in the absence of any occupants. If you are leaving someone in the vehicle, activate the ACC mode by pressing the stop/start button without applying pressure on the brake pedal.
