Strongspoi
Regardless, my vehicle is a 2014 SL400 and it is great. However, in the last week or so, the windscreen wiper fluid has been unable to dispense onto the screen. The wiper blades are equipped with small apertures that spray the fluid directly onto the windscreen, as opposed to ejecting it from the top of the bonnet. Upon pressing the squirt button, a little quantity of fluid is emitted from both blades, but, it is insufficient to adequately cleanse the screen. The wiper blades were changed around 3,000 miles ago and functioned well until lately. Does anybody possess any notions on the potential cause of the problem? From my perspective, it seems unlikely that the pump has entirely failed because there is still some fluid being discharged. However, it is possible that the pump is deteriorating and nearing the end of its functionality. The wiper blades cannot be the cause since they are almost brand new. It is not possible for the pipes to extend from the point of division to each individual blade, assuming that is the configuration. Do you have any insights or advice to assist with the diagnosis? Furthermore, I would want to address another separate matter.I am experiencing a bothersome buzzing sound originating from the driver's door, which I am unable to pinpoint. I have applied lubrication to the door seals and inspected the door pocket for any loose objects, but unfortunately, the issue persists.
RosaStyle
I had a same issue, but not with my SL, but with an E class. In contemporary times, a portion of the washer fluid tends to develop a thick, sticky consistency inside the tank, leading to the obstruction of the washer jets. To address this issue, it is advisable to detach the hoses and forcefully remove the blockage using either a hose or an air line. Additionally, it is recommended to replace the washer fluid as a precautionary measure. It is possible that the pump is obstructed, which may need cleaning. However, as you said, it is possible that the pump is just malfunctioning and nearing the end of its lifespan from the beginning. Apologies, I am unable to assist you with the buzzing issue. Undoubtedly, they are rather bothersome, aren't they?
AmericaMonster
I applied Vikal to the little apertures on the blades and allowed it to sit for around an hour. This effectively eliminated any accumulation of scale, restoring their proper functionality.

RosaStyle
Ah! I do not often consider this perspective, since we do not have issues related to calcium accumulation in our region due to the presence of soft water.
Barringer
Regarding the wiper blades for the R231 SL, I just purchased a set of these that were a perfect match, equipped with heating, and priced at a reasonable £70.

Authorce
Given the presence of screenwash in the reservoir, which specific kind of screenwash fluid do you utilise? It is becoming usual for the fluid to solidify when multiple brands are combined. Contrary to popular belief, not all fluids are compatible, and when examining their chemical composition, considerable discrepancies might be seen in some circumstances. If I recall well, a few years ago when I researched this, I found that Volvo was the only other manufacturer that had comparable components to those of MB. Strongspoi
There is definitely screen wash present. The issue arose around one week ago, and initially, I believed there was no problem. Consequently, I addressed the matter by refilling it yesterday. Currently, it is filled with pristine Prestone screen wash. I used around 3 litres, however I am uncertain about the maximum capacity. Previously, I was completely unaware of its contents. The automobile was acquired from a Volvo dealership, suggesting the use of Volvo fluid. However, the issue arose prior to the introduction of any additional fluid.
