Greetings to everybody, Since the very beginning, I have found the boot release button on my E90 to be perplexing. I have seen that it works intermittently, however just by inadvertent occurrences when fumbling for my keys. Therefore, I am unable to provide a definitive explanation of the method used. Depressing a single key has no effect. The alarm was triggered by many activations or maybe by continuously pressing it down. In any case, the boot fails to open. I have tested both key fobs, therefore confirming that none of them is defective. Although I have never been very troubled by it, I am now interested in acquiring a pair of Emerald Struts and using its functionality. Thank you in advance

After the software upgrade, I had the same problem, and a few weeks later, the engine management light turned on. Upon bringing it to the dealership, they have informed me that the swirl flaps and seals need replacement, and this issue is unrelated to the EGR Cooler recall. This statement is very inaccurate and unsubstantiated. As previously explained, the accumulation of soot in the Manifold intake is a direct consequence of a design flaw.
