  1. Can you locate a nearby furniture restoration who can install a new veneer that matches, or is it possible to simply sand and reapply lacquer to the current veneer?
  2. This component costs $4,000. In my opinion, it is a very erroneous decision by 1016 to refuse a reimbursement of $150. Whether the OP is correct or not is irrelevant. Any adverse publicity over an ill-fitting component is not justified by a price of $150.
  3. My 2009 R8 exhibits a surly disposition when I rouse it after an extended period of inactivity, much to the situation described by the original poster. Introducing a titanium exhaust into the system intensifies the snarls, growls, vibrations, and misfires, even after driving for a few hundred yards. However, as there are no Check Engine Light (CEL) or error codes being shown, I just attribute it to the normal lifespan of a R8.
  4. Is it possible to verify if the size and power of the cooling system in the CX90 were enhanced compared to the CX9?
  5. Have you ever owned or driven a CX-9 in comparable hot conditions in order to make a comparison? The AC performance of the CX-9 has significantly declined from its previous generation in 2016 and beyond.
  6. Hello everyone, I would want to inquire whether the air conditioning performance of the CX90 has been enhanced compared to the previous generation CX-9, which was only marginally satisfactory. Is the compressor size and overall refrigeration unit on the CX90 more powerful than on the CX-9? The previous generation of the CX-9 was much less powerful compared to the original CX-9, which had a very cool and impressive performance.
  7. Is the automobile still emitting the same sound as before, or has the sound ceased?
  8. I am uncertain about my objective. If someone comes across it on eBay or other websites, please inform me. I need assistance from all of you. Appreciation is extended to each and every one of you.
  9. Is there a protective covering over the location where the oil drains?
  10. I had the oil changed at Audi and noticed that the back oil pan cover is now gone. After using Audi's services for a period of 6 years, I am aware that it did not suffer any damage or detachment. However, I now need a replacement. The price quoted for the Audi is $1300.00. I am uncertain about the duration of time since it was last turned off. The records of the mechanic who performed the repair were examined, and it was found that he had not made any prior statements. It does not resemble a bolt that falls onto the floor and becomes difficult to locate. Do you have any opinions or ideas?
  11. @Mututing Although I am hesitant to admit it, I believe it would be advantageous for you to seek out a another V8 vehicle with low mileage and begin over after your current vehicle reaches 108,000 miles. Fidelity plainly relies on the fact that the vast majority of drivers will not come close to reaching the maximum mileage covered by their warranty. I am almost positive that beginning over would result in a more favourable outcome.
  12. A few of years ago, I sold my set of wheels to a frequent driver who had a V10 vehicle (I believe he was mostly interested in acquiring the tyres that were included with the wheels). He owned an independent automotive repair business and informed me that the Dual Clutch Transmissions (DCTs) had a replacement cost of $35,000, which was a contributing factor in his decision to choose a manual gearbox.
  13. Turn off the traction control. Shift into first gear. Engage the throttle fully Disengage the clutch abruptly. Please wait.
  14. Thank you! There is no such thing as an inexpensive S class, AMG, or AMG pack. Although they may still be rather expensive, as you said, they are now more cost-effective.
  15. This is one of my favourite S courses, and you demonstrate exceptional care for it. I have a strong affinity for the Diamond white hue. Things may accumulate rapidly. I have not conducted a comprehensive computation about the total expenditure incurred for both of my S courses; nonetheless, I possess a preliminary understanding. Suppose I had the option to own an other luxurious vehicle, but I am not expressing dissatisfaction, since it is well acknowledged that these automobiles are costly to maintain.
  16. I own one of those devices, with a measured voltage of 12V on both central pins. Please refer to the image provided below. ??? Why is there a link between the SAM (represented by the transistor) and the 'FM filter' (also represented by the transistor), unless it is a switch?
  17. I did not want to dismantle the boot in order to reach the SAM today. I intended to do a task of lesser complexity. The mag mount DAB antenna should be positioned on an oven tray located on the rear seat, with a total of 85 stations reported. Additionally, a DIY centre loaded dipole should be placed in the A pillar trim. The dipole consists of a 345mm stripping of the coaxial cable, with the centre exposed and the copper material folded back. The lead undergoes two turns of 50mm precisely at the junction. The automobile is capable of detecting 95 stations. Indeed, the mag installation on the expansive steel roof performs much more well from an exterior perspective. The process of removing the A Pillar trim. Wow. The upper clip exhibits visibility and robustness, while the remaining two clips are concealed below the air bag and its firing canister, demonstrating exceptional strength. Crowbars are unnecessary for removing this. The provided loop aids in facilitating the execution of the task, but in a rather arbitrary manner. I have adjusted the metal clamps to reduce their firmness and reattached the fabric edge that was inadvertently adhered to the winscreen. The cars are constructed with robust construction, and the trim is designed to endure the impact of a train.
  18. Indeed, both devices were powered and verified with a multimeter. I am quite persuaded that the rear SAM deactivates the FM amplifier.
  19. Hello, I appreciate your prompt response! I verified the presence of the antenna power on the connection of the auxiliary head unit in the automobile, but it is nonexistent. In my vehicle, I own a mere two twisted pairs for the twin microphones. These pinouts are not the typical Comand 2.5 pinouts seen online, but they are specifically designed for the R class in WIS. I am using the head unit to provide power to a pair of FAKRA adaptors, since I believed that the FM amplifier obtained its power from the coaxial cable. That is not true. Indeed, the power outputs of the head unit ant and amp auxiliary are indeed 12V, as anticipated, when activated on the head unit side. It is quite likely that there is no traditional head unit power switch on the automobile side, and instead, the power is sent by CAN to the back SAM. The N10/8 connection activates the amplifier.
  20. Hello, the first question is somewhat technical. The year 2012 (R350CDI LWB W251). I am new to Mercedes, having been a Saabs for years. However, MBWorld, the platform I joined, seems to be hesitant in offering a mentor. I replaced the Comand 2.5 with a cost-effective Aliexpress Android head unit, which I found to be of high quality. All components are functioning well, with the exception of FM reception. I have identified an output (actuator) on the back SAM that seems to deactivate the antenna using a mechanism sometimes referred to as a 'antenna filter'. I believe it serves as both a power switch and a filter. Are the outputs of SAM characterised as open drain or open collector? Alternatively, are they combined? One potential interim solution may include the application of either 0V or 12V to the 'filter' pin3. Alternatively, it may be more accurate to use a CANBUS tool to force a SAM output. The GPS system is functioning well, but, I am uncertain about the power source for the component located on the top.
  21. I own a Spyder, which I believe is the same board, except it is situated in a different location. Based on the image you provided: The secondary air pump fuse is labelled as "A". (The shot only displays a portion of it) Relay 614 functions as the power supply relay for the Engine Control Module. 2- Unoccupied The relay with the number 373 is a kind of relay used for starting a device or system. Another starting relay option is the 4-partial covered relay. The relay with the number 373 is responsible for controlling the Secondary Air Injection Pump. Relay 614 is a power supply relay for the engine component. The automobile has vacancies on the 7th, 8th, and 9th positions. Hopefully, this information proves beneficial.
  22. Is the fuse/relay board situated on the rear bulkhead?
