Did they remove the tiny paper disc located on one side of the battery during the battery replacement? It is a frequent occurrence to overlook.

First-time Mercedes owner, encountering first troubles!
AmericaMonster replied to Adv3nture's topic in General
The Mercedes Me app is unreliable, and some versions use 3G, which is being deprecated. Regarding the Squib. I would not feel comfortable using a pre-owned component in a safety-critical domain. I would entrust it, along with the airbag removal, to a qualified Mercedes-Benz technician. 👍 -
Location of the crankshaft sensor on the 2008 B200

It will be positioned much lower than the air filter housing. The sensors are often located at the junction of the engine and gearbox. Typically at a really uncomfortable location! -

I consistently maintain the roof either up or down during the duration.

That aligns with my reasoning. 😁😋

I utilise AutoDoc, however I consistently possess the MB reference in advance. I subsequently locate the matching component from AutoDoc. In my situation, the dampers were Sachs, but Bilstein would have sufficed.

I have used it to transfer music files to the hard drive and to refresh the navigation maps. -
The car's location is likely a significant factor; I presume you are purchasing remotely from Ireland? If you provide information about the automobile in issue, we can identify a reputable independent MB expert who can assess its condition.

I believe I have provoked destiny. I did not anticipate needing brake pads soon, as I recently acquired the C63 507 this week, and they were inspected in November during a service—having covered very few miles since then. However, a brake pad warning light illuminated today. Upon inspection of the outer sides, the front pads appear satisfactory, but the rear outer pads seem to be nearing depletion, which is somewhat frustrating. Are the worn strips on the pads susceptible to damage? It is not always on. The light was out again while my wife was shopping. Later in the day, the same indicator illuminated on the dashboard. She collected the children 20 minutes later and returned to the vehicle. The light has extinguished. Can they be sporadic when they first activate on the disc? - When do they arrive at 3mm left - 4mm? Whether it is a sensor issue or the brake pads have reached their maximum, the dealer who sold me the vehicle said they would cover the costs, so I am not very concerned; nonetheless, I may need rear brake pads imminently. Thank you.

Thank you. I will investigate and ascertain what information I can uncover.

I heard that endless are manufactured in Japan. I have never encountered the term "portersfield."

Thank you for the comment. Every journey in a W204 is invigorating. Amusing. I do not need pads at now, but I am exploring options for when I do. Cost is not a consideration compared to the original equipment manufacturers. The original equipment manufacturers are not very economical either. Provided that they do not need heating prior to use, I am inclined to experiment with them. I want to avoid weak brakes till the discs are overheated. Are they suitable for frigid conditions?

I am exploring possibilities for the front brake pads on a C63 W204. Endless pads are costly, and although the evaluations seem favourable, they are limited in number, especially with the C63. Does anybody has experience with them? Are they worth the investment, and how do they perform as a daily driver? (vehicle with low yearly mileage)

Neither of us required resistors; nonetheless, my bulbs were inoperative in a Corsa D that I had purchased for my niece. -

Certainly, let there be illumination. -
It should activate every 5 minutes while the headlights are illuminated

I believed that is what I said. I disassembled a component from a vehicle I previously had (I cannot recall the model) due to its persistent low muted beep. Internally, it was extensively corroded, and the PCB was discoloured brown from water penetration. If it is not the siren producing false warnings, one must enquire what else it may be, perhaps ultrasonics internally?
-
The siren is equipped with a built-in battery that, when depleted, often triggers false alerts. Disengaging it will likely eliminate any false warnings as well.
