This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. To check if the spark plugs are in good working order, remove them. Take a look at the power source and battery. When starting a car with a weak battery, a lot of power is required from the alternator—power that the engine needs to run well—after the car has started.
  3. 2009 Corolla that makes a lot of noise and has a rocky start. It starts up easily and runs smoothly after that. My guess is that this is something. I've thought about trying different plugs, but I'm still not sure if the fuel pump is the culprit.

  5. The fact that I have something to be angry with Stellantis about is more important than the fact that I use CarPlay, which I do happily. I still haven't had the opportunity to check the versions. If it has updated even once in the past two years, let alone three or four times, then maybe I am indeed up-to-date. Since I planned to use Google Maps and CarPlay most of the time, I didn't specify navigation when I bought the car because it came standard with other features (heated seats). The fact that Stellantis charges a premium price for a feature only to make it non-functional until you pay a monthly fee is revolting to me. The voice control option is no different.
  6. For fun, I asked AI, and it said that there is a world of difference between Peugeot USB updates and over-the-air updates. By inserting a large replacement file into the USB, the map database is overwritten. OTA updates database map tiles automatically whenever there is a change. 'Map up-to-date / last updated {date}' should be displayed by the latter, while the former uses the version reference (xx.y.z-Rx) that I mentioned earlier. Find out from AI how you can view this data in the vehicle or on the MyPeugeot app. I would be surprised if you could receive over-the-air map updates from Peugeot unless you had a subscription to i-Connect or something similar. Considering the price, I wonder if it isn't time to think about utilising CarPlay or Auto with your preferred navigation app instead. Given the number of problems I've encountered with my Peugeot TomTom, it's obvious that the French manufacturer uses a stripped-down version of the TomTom system. For instance, Peugeot's decision to omit the TomTom EV-specific route planning and trip management features is both foolish and obnoxious. Probably only to keep their licence expenses down. Rather than utilising the built-in screen, they provide an independent, non-integrated EV route planner app that is, according to everyone, pretty useless.
  7. It appears that the VIN option is no longer relevant for newer vehicles; instead, it directs you to the over-the-air update page. In a similar vein, I have no idea what the SRC button does, even though I've only ever used it to return to the previous channel of the radio—until the car switched it for me! Curious about the appropriate time to press SRC? I will go to the car and write down the most recent versions; I regret not doing so sooner.
  8. Is there a way to see which software versions are most recent for the e208? Not even map updates have been provided to me for the past year or so. Under "Settings" and similar options, it states that there are none. By the way, these are over-the-air updates; the other option has been removed. I purchased my vehicle with navigation, but I am not currently paying for Connect Plus or whatever it's called. I am surprised that there has been no update at all. Surely something would have been announced by now? Sept 2024, GT, 74 plate. Can I find a history of when OTA updates were released?

  10. Hello! Have you succeeded in making this function? I would like to know precisely what actions you took, as I find myself in a similar predicament. I appreciate it.
  11. Greetings, will this auxiliary cable interface with the rear of the radio unit, thereby providing a 3.5mm jack for CarPlay connectivity? Could someone guide me to a grounding point near the fuse box?
  12. The vehicle's Bluetooth functions adequately for phone connectivity, and the former owner utilised a device that plugs into the 12V socket to transmit music via an FM signal to the radio. The solution is not particularly refined, yet it is effective. Nevertheless... Upon examining in daylight, I have discovered what appears to be a media interface connection concealed within the glove compartment, shrouded in shadow at the upper rear center of the vehicle, orientated downwards, thus obscuring visibility of the internal contacts. I am unable to conceive of any alternative possibilities, however. If that is the case, all I require (he stated with optimism...) is the appropriate cable and a USB drive, and I will be able to play my music via the head unit.
  13. Depress and maintain pressure on cdc for auxiliary. I am facing an issue; I lack an auxiliary input port. I have recently acquired a cable that I anticipate will allow me to connect via the quad connector to the radio unit, providing a 3.5mm jack for CarPlay integration. Do you have any opinions regarding this?
  14. Assistance required, please. I possess a 2012 W169 A-Class equipped with a standard MB Audio 20 head unit. I exchanged it for an Android device last year, but its performance was inconsistent, prompting me to revert. I am able to link my iPhone to receive calls, but can it also stream music? I am unable to handle it. I do not observe any indication of an auxiliary input button.
  15. In that scenario, set the maximum interval between oil changes to 6000.
  16. Indeed, I conducted research today and it appears to be a CCV problem. I undertake an excessive number of brief excursions and insufficient lengthy journeys.
  17. Service based on BMW specifications/On-board Computer or a maximum of 10,000 miles? Are you aware of the grade of oil utilised by the "specialist"? 0-20 or 5-30? I personally purchase Castrol Edge 5-30LL from Costco, available in 5-liter containers for £36 or £28 during promotional sales.
  18. I possess an identical engine that has accumulated 35,000 miles. I perform my own oil changes, thus I am fully aware of the quantity utilised. I performed an oil change a few weeks prior, and when I replenished the used oil into the vacant 5L Castrol Edge 5w30 container, it indicated less than 5L, whereas during the last oil service, I filled it to the maximum of 5.25L. I travelled approximately 3,500 miles over a span of 10 months between oil changes, consuming around 0.5 litres. I would only have slight concerns if 1L was consumed every 1,000 miles. How can you ascertain whether the garage dispensed 5L or 5.25L? I primarily undertake brief excursions, accumulating approximately 4,000 miles over the course of a year. It is uncertain whether the B48 engine provides an uncomplicated method to service the CCV, as it may be integrated into the entire engine cover. Kindly be aware that this response was not endorsed by Castrol Edge 5w30... I simply prefer the gold package of Castrol Edge.
  19. You could be correct, yet there is no evidence suggesting a CCV issue. The vehicle operates as anticipated. I shall persist in observing it. It has consumed one litre over a span of three months or 3,000 miles. That adheres to BMW's regulations, so I am not alarmed. The service might merely be a happenstance, yet I have an aversion to happenstances!
  20. Altering the oil brand will not eliminate oil consumption; examine components such as the CCV for blockages.

  22. F31 Petrol 320i M 2018 with 63,000 miles Despite the advancing age of my vehicle, I cherish it and have no plans to replace it. It has not consumed oil previously, yet it has utilised a litre in the three months following the last oil change. Performed by a BMW expert rather than an authorised dealership. I will replenish it for the rest of the service period, but could someone suggest the highest quality oil for the subsequent change, irrespective of price. I appreciate everyone. A slight complaint directed at BMW. Could we obtain a dipstick, please? Electronic measurement is satisfactory until doubts arise regarding the sensor's reliability.
