Barringer
During a trip, the vehicle ceased functioning three minutes in, first at 160 km/h, then at 130 km/h, followed by 100 km/h, ultimately continuing until it failed to restart, necessitating a tow home. After clearing the problem codes, the device started without issue. However, it idled for three minutes before shutting down and subsequently failed to restart, either cranking without ignition or occasionally starting briefly before shutting off again. The accompanying fault codes are displayed in the photographs. I replaced the injectors and the rain gutter trim in the engine 2000 kilometres ago. The sole adjustment I have made recently is the replacement of the headlights and fog lights with LEDs. Assistance would be highly valued. Thank you. MamaKiddo
Examine the condition of your injector wiring to ensure it is not frayed against any objects. Additionally, examine the resistance of your injector; I bet you will discover one that significantly deviates from the others.
Barringer
Are you suggesting that the expert BMW technician and coder who repaired it may have inadvertently pinched the wire when reassembling the motor, or that the issue occurred independently thereafter? MamaKiddo
I am not asserting anything, however it has been previously documented that some individuals have experienced problems with wires chafing against injector pipes. It is not uncommon for an injector to malfunction electronically, resulting in the symptoms you are experiencing.
Sumoto
Initially, I considered a shorted wire; but, upon inspection, the codes were identical save for the final digit, sequentially ranging from 1 to 3 and so on.
Barringer
If I recall correctly, the DPF had approximately 98 or 198 grammes of soot. I utilised BimmerLink to ascertain the information. I had to code the battery 2000 km after its replacement because it was not coded upon installation, as the previous battery was 90 Ah and the new one is 110 Ah. Barringer
What is the reason for the display of glow plug problems as well? I have experienced no difficulties in the past with initiating operation on cold mornings.
Barringer
I neglected to include these; nonetheless, these were the error codes prior to my resetting them after being towed home. Several low voltage codes appeared as the battery was nearly depleted after attempting to start the vehicle.
