Kismis Transport – Anyone bought a repo car from them?

Bit of a random one, but I spotted a 2021 BMW 3 Series listed on Facebook Marketplace through Kismis Transport, apparently based out of Belfast. I was told it’s a repossessed car from an asset recovery auction. They’ve offered delivery down to Surrey and a 10-day return guarantee. 
I’m a bit unsure about handing over money before viewing the car. Has anyone here actually bought from Kismis Transport? 

Any insight would be much appreciated!

@Lemmand – Not acquired a car, but last autumn I used Kismis Transport to move some industrial kit from Sheffield to Newry. Their timings and updates were exactly perfect. You're probably good if the side of the company deals with cars like their transportation services. Still, I would be careful with payments and make sure they are made securely.

Hi all,
My nephew acquired a 2017 Kia Sportage via kismis transport. It was one of their repos; he stated that the procedure was exceedingly simple. The vehicle arrived in excellent condition, the only concern was a minor delay in delivery, though they maintained communication throughout the process.

Thanks folks, really appreciate the replies. I spoke with someone named Paul from Kismis Transport earlier. He emailed over the V5C and HPI clearance report, all looked genuine. Still nervous about paying upfront without seeing the car with my own eyes though.

Morning all,
Earlier this year, I had a 2020 Mazda CX-30 delivered to my Birmingham location by Kismis Transport. The weather caused a slight holdup of a day or two in the haulage, but they called ahead to clarify. Everything was in order when the car arrived, including the papers. To tell you the truth, I was totally delighted.

I'm old-school and like to see a car before putting down a penny. That said, I did ring Kismis Transport about a listing. Very polite and transparent on the phone, explained how their refund system works if the car turns up and isn’t as advertised. That kind of policy gives me a bit more faith, sounds like they stand behind what they sell.

@Lemmand They only accept bank transfer now. They told me they had issues in the past with credit card chargebacks, so that’s why. But again, it’s to a business account held separate from their operational funds, so it’s as safe as it gets.

Right, I’ve taken the plunge! Sent over the money today and got the payment confirmation from their accounts team. They said the car should be loaded onto a transporter within the next 24 hours. Hoping for a smooth delivery – will update once it lands.

Nice one, @Lemmand – I collected a 2021 VW Golf from them directly at their yard near the Belfast airport. Really well organised, not some back alley setup. Let us take our time with the inspection before we signed anything. All above board.

Update: The BMW arrived yesterday evening! The delivery driver was brilliant,  phoned ahead and helped get the car off the transporter safely on my narrow road.
Everything looks absolutely spot on. Matches the listing photos exactly. All the docs were neatly packed in a folder, and I’ve booked it into my garage tomorrow morning just to double-check. But so far – couldn’t be happier!

Glad it’s worked out for you, @Lemmand. It’s refreshing to hear about a logistics firm doing repos properly and not just some fly-by-night operation. Kismis Transport might want to consider adding “motors or cars" to their brand name though, calling them “Transport” makes it sound like they only shift pallets and crates 😂
