I sent an email to MBS in Southampton, but they have not responded. There has been no reaction from PCS in Horndean either.Has anybody had one installed by a garage on the South Coast?

Given that it pertains to "electrics" rather than mechanical systems, comandonline.co.uk in Lightwater, Surrey, near Junction 3 of the M3, may be a viable option.

Comand Online has proposed to provide and install for £550, which I will accept. I am enquiring whether they can also do an Android Auto update concurrently.

Given that the smart top costs over £400 (I enquired about one for my SLK), it represents a reasonable price. Additionally, I am certain they can do an Android Auto update while servicing your vehicle, but it will incur a significant expense. If you remain with the vehicle throughout the process, go down the road towards the M3; there, there is a bar where we had a pleasant lunch and a satisfactory pint while we waited.

Do it yourself? I personally put a Smart Top on my Volvo C70, which has an older electrical system. Aside from locating one connection concealed under the boot liner, the process was uncomplicated and devoid of issues.

Smart tops provide extensive recommendations for DIY installation; nonetheless, I acknowledge that some individuals may lack the requisite skills or materials for self-installation.
