HolyRoach
How can I determine the dimensions of the brake discs on my 2008 CLC200? Unfortunately, I am unable to bend down in order to remove the wheel and measure it. Consequently, I am interested in purchasing a set of replacement brake discs. Angurita
There is no need to detach the wheel. Instead, place a straight object across the top and bottom of the disc by inserting it between the wheel spokes. Then, measure the distance between these two points.
Startle
Requires fewer hands when measuring from the outside border to the middle of the hub and multiplying the result by two.

NameInterest
Allow the individual who is responsible for fitting them to take the measurements. No manual dexterity required, nor any reliance on magnets or straight edges. 👍👍 I estimate the measurement to be 288 millimetres.
HolyRoach
Regrettably, I must purchase the items in order to have them properly installed. Therefore, I will need to explore other methods. However, my estimate for the front is likewise around 288. Bigger size is superior!
NameInterest
Verify the information on any website by inputting your registration number. 👍 Many firms compare the components against your registration number and dispatch the appropriate parts.
AmericaMonster
If you exceed the appropriate size, the calliper will not be able to fit.

Tactical
However, sometimes they make errors. It is more advantageous to use an Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC) and your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to get the authentic Mercedes-Benz component number. Next, go to the MB store and make the purchase. Alternatively, if you want to make a purchase from a different source, you may look for the MB component number on websites like AutoDoc, where you will find a range of aftermarket options. Then search for reputable brands like as ATE, Brembo, Zimmermann, and others that are recognised for their quality.

NameInterest
Autodoc is really accurate, isn't it? I am laughing uncontrollably. 🤣🤣 Shirley, would it be more advantageous to travel to a nearby ecp shop rather than mailing the item back to Germany? Racerse
When I changed my front discs, I had the choice between two different sizes, with little difference between them. Measuring the diameter precisely may be challenging when there is a hub obstructing the route. An alternative approach is to measure the circumference and then divide it by 3.142. I had sufficient confidence in the accuracy of the measurement to place an order with Autodoc, and the items I received were of the exact size.
