spartan
There are a total of 7 little stone chips on the hood of my 3-month-old cx30, as well as one on the side guard. I have been driving on the same routes for the last 20 years and have never seen any noticeable stone chips on my prior vehicles. Is anybody else experiencing difficulties with the paint? Is Mazda using substandard paint or neglecting to apply a protective layer of clear coat paint? We would much appreciate any experiences shared. Thank you. Mindumer
What is the colour of yours? Soul Red had a higher susceptibility to chipping. Which specific car are you comparing it to? I apply Paint Protection Film (PPF) to the front surfaces of my automobiles since the newer paints used on them are somewhat more delicate. That is a known fact, since we apply sand and chips on the road for better grip throughout the six winter months.
spartan
May I enquire about the definition of PPF? I reside in Queensland, Australia.
Mindumer
PPF stands for paint protection film. Companies such as Expel and 3M are known for their exceptional quality, yet there are several other companies that provide high-quality products. Bitxx
No, not really. It is quite improbable that you have never had a stone chip throughout the span of 20 years.
spartan
I have noticed a clearly visible "stone chip" specifically on the bonnet of my vehicle, where I now have around 8 little chips. Every month, I diligently wash my automobiles and have never seen any noticeable chipping on them.
Liveek
I own a German automobile manufactured in 2010, in addition to my Mazda. Unfortunately, despite having driven just 40,000 kilometres, it has accumulated several paint chips. Consequently, I repaired the front end of my Mazda using paint protection film (PPF) and I am now pleased with the outcome. In my opinion, the outcome is contingent upon the prevailing road conditions.
Adv3nture
Indeed, there is already some paint damage. I was aware of this fact while purchasing the Soul Red. Dr. Colorchip is often effective. This chip repair touch up paint is perhaps the most straightforward and convenient option available. Mazda's two-stage paint pens are inconvenient for quickly repairing colours such as soul red. The Dr. Colorchip soul red paint does not perfectly match, but its delta-E value is much superior than that of primer or bare metal. Apply a little amount of the substance next to the chip using a toothpick, and then smooth it out with a card or a small rubber squeegee. Applying many layers also contributes to the desired outcome. While it may not be really effective for scratches, I have successfully found a way to make it function.
rauman
Prior to receiving my '22 desired automobile, I visited many dealerships to inspect their pre-owned vehicles. Additionally, I examined the paint quality of newer Mazda cars parked in Manhattan, where I reside. There are several chips, scratches, and other forms of damage. I had Paint Protection Film (PPF) placed on the hood, front side panels, and mirrors a few weeks after I received the vehicle. I am pleased that I did! Mezuzzi
May I enquire about the location in New York where you had your Paint Protection Film (PPF) installed? (And has it been successful for you?) Thank you much!
