HeadlinesQuick
My 2010 C350 CDI Sport saloon is equipped with what I believe to be an electronic suspension system. The vehicle's ride height is quite low, and the automatic gearbox quickly shifts into sport mode upon acceleration. Is the suspension designed to adjust the car's height based on the speed or the selected gearbox mode? I am not very bothered by it, I only wanted to understand how it is intended to function. AmericaMonster
Apologies, I am not knowledgeable about the topic. The C350 I own is a 2012 model, specifically the updated version with cosmetic changes known as the facelift version. The sport mode on my vehicle is activated by pressing the sport button. This action results in the suspension being tightened and the transmission settings being altered.
Captiva
The Airmatic suspension system has the ability to modify the height of the vehicle's ride. Certain automobiles were equipped with electronic dampers that have the ability to adjust the firmness of the ride, without affecting the height of the vehicle. HeadlinesQuick
How can I determine the configuration I currently have?
BizarreBleak
Sport mode enhances stability while cornering by increasing the stiffness of the dampers. However, if the vehicle automatically switches to sport mode upon starting, it is likely due to a common issue where the suspension level sensor arms break. Cincoon
Airmatic suspension was not available for any 204 model. Simply the conventional multi-link suspension.
