bourhay
Greetings, I am interested in purchasing a Sportage with a 22 or 23 plate, however I am unsure about the specification to choose. I have test driven a Spec 4 model, which comes with several desirable features, however it is somewhat more costly compared to a Spec 3 model of a comparable age. I have disregarded the s variants since they often cost above £40k when new, which incurs additional road tax. I have also chosen to choose the hybrid option instead of the MHEV. However, it is not a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). The GT line lacks the inclusion of two 12-inch information displays. I want to purchase the item labelled as 4, but, I am sceptical that I will be able to get a satisfactory discount from the salesman to persuade me to make the purchase. Do you have any recommendations?
SlayNeo
This is mostly a matter of personal preference, ultimately determined by the significance you place on the additional features provided by one version compared to another, as well as your financial resources. I have a dislike for panoramic roofs, however I do like the 12" information screen. However, the GT-Line screen not only provides me with all the necessary driving information, but also has an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The functionality of our automobile meets all my requirements, and the abundance of technologies it has ensures my satisfaction for many years to come. While I acknowledge that other owners may have other opinions, I maintain that the matter ultimately boils down to personal preference.
bourhay
I concur. While these technologies may seem impressive during the salesman's demonstration, it is worth considering if they are really necessary in practical use. It is possible that it is the lesser specification. Do you have an estimate of the potential discount I may get as a cash buyer without a trade-in? SlayNeo
I have no knowledge or understanding of the matter. I suggest exploring several options and engaging in negotiations to get a more favourable outcome.
Ziinsig
Create a comprehensive list of the specific characteristics that you really want and then proceed to compare them with the different specifications available. When making our selection, my wife specifically desired the panoramic roof, and the '4' option was far less expensive than the GTLS model (while still offering most of the features and amenities). I highly suggest the '4' specification! To have a successful negotiation, it is important to communicate your maximum limit to the salesperson and be prepared to disengage from the negotiation if necessary. They may come to the realisation that your offer is the most favourable option available to them. While purchasing our pre-owned 2017 Sportage, the Kia salesperson adamantly refused to engage in price negotiations. Instead, we discussed the trade-in value of our old and worn-out vehicle. It took some time, but eventually their offer became sufficiently generous for us to accept the transaction. Wishing you success!
VibrantShin
Indeed, it is precisely correct. It is important to consider the cost of the alteration rather than the amount they are willing to reduce the worth of the desired automobile. It is important to consider that, after you have determined the desired price, like we did, you may negotiate for additional benefits. We purchased a three-year service plan directly from Kia, independent of any particular dealer, at a cost of £150. Additionally, we obtained three years of tyre and wheel insurance for £50, a significant reduction from the original price of £350. Given the poor condition of the local roads, I anticipate that these investments will rapidly prove to be financially beneficial.
depofly
If you need all the practical and functional devices without any unnecessary extras, I would recommend opting for a 3 or 4 specification model. Both vehicles are equipped with Smart Cruise control, which has left a strong impression on me. However, what about the panoramic roof? I have just used it for demonstration purposes and have not utilised it for any other reason.
Racerse
Trims may be described as: The sequence is as follows: 2, GT Line, 3, 4, GT Line S. The number 4 is no longer available as a new item. The primary distinctions between GTL and 3 lie in the inclusion of motorised seats and a digital cluster. 4 & GTLS acquires 360 cameras and more valuable items.
