Micobe
Hello, While inspecting my engine bay, I have come across a loose pipe that is not linked to any component. I am seeking clarification on whether this pipe should be connected and, if so, to which part it should be attached. Can someone provide information on this matter? The automobile is a BMW 520d from the year 2011.
Cleverco
Greetings. Vacuum pipe. Based on the analysis of the position and size, I would suggest that the issue is with either the EGR valve or the EGR cooler bypass. It is difficult to be completely certain without knowing the specific kind of engine. Remove the upper plastic cover and examine the area below. Syncephe
I agree with the concept of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR).
MamaKiddo
Please display the engine in its entirety with the cover off. It is likely that an EGR deletion has been performed.
Kenjibb
In my basement, I saw a 1.5-inch ABS pipe protruding from the ceiling, extending roughly 2 inches downward. The pipe is neither covered or connected to anything inside the basement. There is a current of air coming from it, so I anticipate that it will rise rapidly. The half bathroom is located just above a damp wall. Does anybody identify the function it serves? Should I only limit it?
