Adv3nture
I had the oil changed at Audi and noticed that the back oil pan cover is now gone. After using Audi's services for a period of 6 years, I am aware that it did not suffer any damage or detachment. However, I now need a replacement. The price quoted for the Audi is $1300.00. I am uncertain about the duration of time since it was last turned off. The records of the mechanic who performed the repair were examined, and it was found that he had not made any prior statements. It does not resemble a bolt that falls onto the floor and becomes difficult to locate. Do you have any opinions or ideas?
Talentrews
I am unfamiliar with the term "oil pan cover" since I do not possess knowledge about an oil pan. There is an aerodynamic tray located over an aluminium engine heat shield. What is eluding my understanding?
RacingNight
I recommend searching on eBay for replacement components. There are other options available for purchasing the identical components at lower rates.

Talentrews
The vehicle has a spacious alloy heat shield, which includes an access hole specifically designed for the drain plug. The drain plug is completely naked, without any "pan".
Sumoto
Below, there is consistently an opening for access.
Talentrews
Negative, the absence of such a thing is evident. In the case of newer autos, the recommended position is entirely closed.

Talentrews
Engaging in the task of changing your own oil allows you a complete understanding and appreciation of the process. Approximately 70 bolts are required to remove both trays.
