Carishme
Greetings, The subscription for my satnav live updates is about to expire soon, and I have seen that I can renew it via the Mercedes me app by purchasing the 'navigation package'. The fee for this package is £125 for a 12-month subscription or £299 for a 36-month subscription. The automobile I own is a 2019 model C Class S205 with Audio 20 CD (522) installed. My automobile is now equipped with the Garmin MAP PILOT 2021/2022 version 17.0 (map 17.0) sd card. I have the opportunity to get the V19.0 (map 19.0) SD card for a price of £50, excluding the live updates. Does anybody know whether there is a significant disparity between the maps of V17.0 and V19.0?
AmericaMonster
In my opinion, it is more advantageous to purchase the most recent Garmin Map Pilot software and maps on an SD-Card, which includes real-time traffic, and replace it with a new SD-Card whenever a newer version becomes available, rather than subscribing to over-the-air updates. Carishme
Apologies, but I am uncertain about the meaning of your statement.
AmericaMonster
Purchasing a fresh Garmin Map Pilot on an SD-Card provides you with the most up-to-date navigation software and maps. What advantages does the Mercedes Me "navigation package" provide you at this stage?
Carishme
Where can I get an authentic Garmin aviation pilot SD card that includes live traffic updates? I assumed that the 'navigation package' was just the most recent method developed by Mercedes to get this functionality.
AmericaMonster
You may purchase it directly from authorised Mercedes dealers. Please indicate your preference for the 'update' SD-Card, which is priced at around £100, rather than the 'first time' SD-Card, which is priced at approximately £500. Alternatively, you have the option to make an online purchase. However, I cannot guarantee the authenticity or legitimacy of the SD-Cards sold on these websites. Carishme
If I buy an update SD card from Mercedes, would I continue to get live traffic updates? I said before that my current subscription is about to expire.
AmericaMonster
To the best of my knowledge, when you get an authentic card, it includes Live Traffic as a feature.
Tactical
I now possess the same email, and my membership for receiving real-time traffic reports will terminate during the next month. The price of £299 for a duration of 3 years for something that other manufacturers provide at no cost is too high. I like using Google Maps on my phone, since it is free. depofly
Is CarPlay or Auto compatible with your present system or can it be installed? If you are able to do so, it would likely be the most advantageous allocation of your funds (and enhance the value for resale if executed correctly). Captiva
I decided to forgo the BMW Connected Drive service since the cost they were demanding was exorbitant, especially considering that Google maps via Carplay / AA performs just as well. I had Carplay installed in my car and I use G maps, Waze, and Spotify via my smartphone.
Markwe
I purchased the audio 20 sat nav 2022/2023 upgrade with a price of £20. The live traffic service is offered as a distinct feature via the Mb store. Both Waze and Google Maps are comparable in terms of quality, if not superior.
