WannaVulture
Apologies for the somewhat naive question, but is it possible to replace the oil filter of the W204 (C180 diesel) without first emptying the oil? Thank you.
AmericaMonster
I have always encountered cars where this has been feasible.
Seconsu
You have the ability to do so, but what would be the rationale for running used oil through a newly installed filter?
Tactical
Yes, if you have a filter that is located at the top of the engine and can be changed, then it is possible.
Tactical
If you are intending to dismantle the old filter in order to insert insects for decorative purposes, please be aware that the replacement filter should be accompanied with new 'O' rings.
WannaVulture
Oh. Last week, I replaced the oil in my vehicle. However, I discovered that the new filter I had was incorrect. Consequently, I placed an order for the correct filters. As a result, the oil in my vehicle is now one week old and has been driven for a distance of two hundred kilometres.
