  1. I own a 2015 E250 CDI estate equipped with an OM651 engine. It has travelled a total of 118,000 miles without any issues (50,000 miles with me), and my daily commute has consistently yielded a fuel efficiency of 54mpg (+/- 2mpg), which is remarkable for a large vehicle. There are no flaws whatsoever. Regularly replaced the oil and filter every 8,000 miles, and replaced the gearbox fluid in July of last year. Approximately three weeks ago, it was observed that the radiator fan exhibited a notable increase in speed approximately 30 seconds after the ignition process. Despite being exposed to chilly temperatures (about 2C or 3C outdoors), I honestly did not instantly perceive the decline in economic activity. The engine temperature reaches its normal value of 90°C after about 15 minutes of operation. Furthermore, I am quite certain that there was a particular day when the fan failed to operate throughout my 40-mile journey back home. When the engine is returned to position 2, the fan ceases to operate. Therefore, it is not the issue of being always enabled. I have perused the current discussions about the issues of a loud fan, the speed of the radiator fan, and the solution for the AC Pressure Sensor. I am reluctant to visit that location only due to the decline in economic conditions. I would want to inquire about your view on whether the fan's overcooling is negatively impacting the economy by preventing the engine from reaching its optimal temperature. Alternatively, it is possible that the error is caused by a different sensor that is primarily associated with fueling, therefore alerting the ECU to a malfunctioning state. It has been observed that the first value of my MPG from cold is now recorded as 14.1 MPG. I am quite analytical when it comes to MPG. I am fairly positive that it has never done this before, which has led me to believe that it is entering a state of limp mode, despite the engine power not seeming to be down. The scanner I own is a Launch CRP129, which is equipped with current files. However, I believe it is enough capable of detecting a code. The absence of fault codes is evident. The only reference to any issue in the 'live stream' is found in the EGR section. The Y85 EGR cooler bypass switchover valve, identified as Fault 53336/6058, undergoes a shift to a 'OFF' state while in operation. This topic has been previously addressed, but not in the context of a fan speed concern. I find this to be inconsequential. The coolant temperature sensor, which was originally obtained from Merc, has been replaced so far. There is no alteration. I brought the automobile to my nearby diagnostic facility, where they successfully completed the MOT the week before to the car's malfunction, and we made a reservation for it. I have documented the diagnosis of a defective radiator fan controller on the bill. The Ridex fan shroud was acquired from Autodoc and then assembled by the user without any modifications. I am contemplating contacting the individual in question and giving him an opportunity for a second attempt at diagnosis, but with reluctance stemming from his prior misdiagnosis. Opinions? With the exception of "god," it is a lengthy post.
  2. This seems to be the work of an individual who does not own a V10 automobile. Indeed, as long as you are OK with it. I have no difficulties with the V10 engine being louder when driving, and I can easily hold phone conversations without any disruptions.
  3. Agreed, I would recommend trying Osman first. If that doesn't work, your dealer should be able to quickly get it. While I may not be well-versed in all the components of the Gen-2 kit, it is crucial for S-Tronic owners to ensure that their kit includes the correct gearbox release tool. It was a red tool in Generation 1. If you are unable to start the automobile, this tool is essential for shifting the gearbox into neutral to facilitate towing onto a flatbed. Gen-1 owners may find the red tool located underneath the tow hook.
  4. Will schedule an appointment at the workshop.
  5. Understood, however, thank you. There is a technician in the area who can fix the module if you bring it to them. At a price of 280 euros. Which mother do you suspect of meddling? Is this compatible with the module? What features does it now possess or has it been removed?
  6. I had previously contemplated. It has been recreated. I presume that everything is still functioning well from a mechanical standpoint. The free workshop displayed an error message stating "voltage supply incorrect."
  7. Finally had the opportunity to inspect underneath the vehicle. You may get used to driving without using the handbrake. Regrettably, the bimmelei is irritating due to the error notice, and eventually, the TÜV will get involved. Removed the plug from the module. The contact pins are shining brightly without any rust or moisture present. After assembling and starting the engine, the handbrake was repaired and the sign on the display became red. Fz has not shifted at all. I thought I needed to unlock it manually, but when I hit the button on the central console, the brake was released and an orange signal appeared on the display. I am puzzled by the message "hand brake disturbed" on the display. The BMW is too costly for me and the independent workshops are unable to identify the issue.
  8. Thank you for your useful advice. I create when the temperature of the frost is somewhat higher. Was everything returned to its original position or have you stored or rearranged something?
  9. Thank you for the information. I am not familiar with it yet. Can you provide any details on how this was expressed or what was deteriorated? There is a person in Hannover that can fix the actuator for a fee of 250 €. If that indeed happens
  10. Hello BMW enthusiasts, I am new here since my X6 E71 40d, manufactured in December 2012, has been running well so far. Now the handbrake has automatically engaged and the handbrake light in the cockpit is always glowing yellow. The trunk release was pulled and the fuses in the passenger footwell and the two in the trunk were checked. Everything is fine. The handbrake remains nonfunctional. BMW is asking around 300 euros only for the diagnosis. The independent workshop has conducted a diagnostic scan and identified errors in the power supply. Have any of you had similar symptoms? Ich wäre dankbar für Ratschläge zur weiteren Fehlersuche. Also, the hold on feature has also failed, and the two LEDs on the centre console have also failed. The battery is currently in good condition.
  11. Furthermore, a comprehensive service has been provided. Could the issue be attributed to the gasoline filter or another component?
  12. Indeed, it is possible for the temperature to have dropped to -8°C yesterday. Additionally, it operates adequately. Therefore, it is advisable to maintain the current state without making any changes, as you have suggested.
  13. Previously, only the number 4 was functional. However, the user succeeded in altering the functionality of number 4, but was unable to do the same for number 6.
  14. Greetings, everyone. Upon doing a diagnostic, it was determined that only one glow plug was operational. The primary concern was a misfire occurring between 2500 and 3000rpm at full speed, as well as a little difficult start in the morning. I made an appointment with my nearby mechanic and had a comprehensive service performed, which included the replacement of all filters and an oil change. He successfully replaced just 5 of the glow plugs, with the final one being very difficult to remove. He was cautious not to break it and attempted many times, but was unsuccessful. After replacing 5 new glow plugs, the problem of misfire has been resolved. Uncertain on the improvement in miles per gallon (mpg). The glow plug light continues to illuminate for the same duration of 30 seconds as it did before. Should I promptly seek out another technician to address the issue with the most recent glow plug? I would greatly appreciate any guidance or recommendations. Thank you everyone.
  15. Do you have any suggestions or thoughts, gentlemen?
  16. Greetings, everyone. I have encountered a problem with the air suspension system on my 2012 Viano. The elevation has decreased and the pump activates but immediately ceases operation. The dashboard is displaying an inactive ENR status. The error code retrieved by my local garage indicates that there is an improbable signal from the b22/10 diverter. Is it possible that the issue lies with the diverter valve? I would much appreciate your assistance or guidance as always.
