  1. As I said in the preceding article, I remain confident that the majority of the HVCH issues could have been rectified only by a software update. If I were uninformed about mechanical, I would have been deceived at the dealership with estimates beyond €5000. On both occasions I visited the dealership with distinct vehicles, they attempted to provide estimates for components that ultimately did not need replacement. I like Range Rover, but from a prudent distance from the showrooms. I have purchased the dongle to access Topix Cloud and I am doing the task independently.
  2. The mechanic used a little amount of loosening agent and manipulated the rod many times. This sensation is pleasant; the pressure appears adequate, as though the diaphragm is functioning properly. I will reattach this. The issue persists. At this juncture, it was seen that air was being inhaled through the breather tube. Recede the servo. Upon exerting pressure on the brake pedal, it first exhibits significant resistance; but, with additional force, the pedal rapidly descends to the floor, resulting in an emergency stop of the car. Depending on the pedal's mood, it may gradually return to the top position and disengage the brakes; however, in most instances, the pedal must be manually lifted back up to release the brakes. I have replaced the master cylinder and the wheel brake cylinders.
  3. Additional images. 9-inch diameter
  4. Servo ATE 3.6147-0501.4 or A0014304630
  5. Companies such as Pastparts will not undertake the reconditioning of the unit unless I can procure a repair kit, which I am unable to do. Is anyone aware of alternative servos that may be compatible?
  6. Indeed. Their response is obsolete.
  7. My 1986 Mercedes 608d vehicle necessitates the brake servo, part number A0014304630. Is assistance available? One or two are listed for sale online, although they are 'out of stock' when I try to buy them. Is it possible for me to locate a repair kit? I have conducted an exhaustive search and am currently at an impasse.
  8. I use the eBay store - cav.mar1 They provide many sizes; just communicate with your car specifications. My S205 is equipped with the AMG body package, and they provided a larger block to accommodate the depth of the sill skirt.
  9. I contacted an expert in Nottingham today that I discovered via Google; nevertheless, they did not instill faith in me, so I will avoid their services. Subsequently, I reached out to MB Automotive, who did inspire trust. The individual with whom I conversed evidently has substantial knowledge, hence I have made an appointment there. They are unable to accept it for six weeks, which is quite disappointing; nevertheless, if they are reputable and reliable, the delay may be justified. He said that they are seeking larger premises due to their workload, thus it is hoped that booking times may decrease in the future. Upon reviewing their Google ratings, the feedback is mostly favourable, with just a few negative comments. Therefore, if no one has any significant grievances to share here, I will go with my reservation and give them a chance.
  10. Thank you for the suggestions. I will try MB Automotive as Loughborough is somewhat closer.
  11. I have just relocated to Ashby from the North and am seeking suggestions for a reputable Mercedes expert in my vicinity. Derby, Loughborough, and Nottingham are in close proximity to one another. Do you have any recommendations? Best regards
  12. It seems that just a partial regeneration was accomplished, although the subsequent growth is rather typical. My vehicle's battery will deplete to around 4%, but it rapidly recharges if the journey is disrupted by traffic or urban driving conditions. During an extended run, the rise is much slower, necessitating a regeneration often once or twice each tank. In the DPF/NOX interface, you may initiate a regeneration if you anticipate a prolonged drive. Do not be very concerned about subsequent increases until fault codes or suboptimal performance arise. The software may also be used to do the back pressure test to see whether your findings are within normal parameters.
  13. The mechatronics units may have identical insignia, but they are specifically tagged to the vehicle.
  14. If the gearbox is not original to the vehicle, it likely requires coding to the automobile. Uncertain if ISTA will suffice or whether an alternative is required. Require a somebody with more expertise in coding to contribute.
  15. What is the definition accompanied by code? Did you do any coding after replacing the gearbox?
  16. One has departed, and as you are now aware, I have a penchant for LED lights, hehe.
  17. It seems that resistors will be necessary. Does it belong to you?
  18. Greetings, Everyone I own a 2008 E280 CDI. Do I need to change the reverse lighting, and is it similar to the brake and indicator lights, or is it a single bulb? I intend to substitute I need to remove the boot door trim. Thank you.
  19. I am astonished that this is one of the first threads I recall in which Ed sought assistance. It is remarkable how he has independently determined all the modifications he has performed on the automobile in his films.
  20. I am certain that there will be. Otherwise, how can you eliminate all contaminants from the system? Or at least 90%
  21. Thank you for your response. Acquiring the radiator drain plug is not problematic and is located where you said.
