  1. The ticking sound commonly occurs during the operation of the fuel tank vent valve. To determine the cause of the flashing light, it is necessary to do a scan. Based on my speculation, the issue might be related to the deterioration of the coil pack. However, conducting a scan will provide confirmation.
  2. Apologies for any confusion. Currently, I do not encounter any issues while operating in 5th gear. However, once I shift into 6th gear, problems arise. Even if I downshift, the vehicle remains in a restricted performance mode. This morning, while travelling at 70 mph on the motorway in 6th gear, I suddenly experienced a loss of power from the accelerator. Despite pressing down on the pedal, the car did not respond. Consequently, the vehicle began to decelerate, prompting me to shift back to 5th gear. Although the engine revs remained between 2000 and 3000, the turbo, which I assume is responsible for providing additional power, failed to engage. This situation persists until I turn off the ignition. When exiting the motorway, the vehicle's performance is severely compromised, resulting in a lack of speed and a slow acceleration. This makes it impossible to quickly depart a junction. The car has been regularly serviced and is in excellent condition. I have undergone driving examination courses and consider myself a very skilled driver. Despite this, no warning lights appear on the dashboard, which has puzzled my technician since no issues are detected while running diagnostics. I am reluctant to invest a significant amount of money on a problem that I have little knowledge about. Hopefully, it is now clearer and easier to understand.
  3. Thank you for responding, gentlemen. The problem occurred about 7 months after the purchase, which regrettably exceeded the 6-month warranty period (as is often the case!). Upon obtaining the injector code, I contacted Kia. However, they informed me that they were unable to schedule an appointment for me for more than a month. As a result, I decided to seek the services of my own mechanic, who I have great confidence in. I procured the necessary components from Kia, and I can provide receipts as evidence. The injectors are now in good condition and there are no observable fuel or other types of leaks. The problem is sporadic, so even if they conducted a test drive, the vehicle may just choose to function properly. During my experience on the motorway, I have seen that there is a lack of power while driving in 6th gear. The problem has never occurred while the vehicle is in lower ratios, but it consistently has a disruptive behaviour in sixth gear. I have just begun using reputable diesel stations due to my extensive research on the substandard quality of store gasoline. Is the gasoline filter installed as well? Could that be a problem? I apologise, but I have no knowledge or expertise in cars. I just needed a dependable automobile suitable for two small children and a crippled dog. While it meets most criteria, it is just giving me undue worry.
  4. Arnold Clark offers a 1.6 Diesel car with a manual gearbox.
  5. I am experiencing problems with the automobile, although owning it for less than 9 months. I purchased the automobile based on its reputation for reliability and the added assurance of a 7-year guarantee. However, I am now quite dissatisfied with the vehicle. I have had many instances when driving on the motorway where, despite being in 6th gear, the vehicle's acceleration abruptly ceases to function. The engine rpm stay high, but the car fails to accelerate. It seems to have entered a state similar to limp mode. The fuel injector code was detected during the first setup, and after replacing it, there was no improvement. There are no other trouble codes. Once again, this morning I had a recurring issue on the motorway that leaves me feeling vulnerable and helpless, especially with my children in the backseat. It seems that no matter how hard I try to accelerate, my vehicle's speed grows very slowly, like to the pace of a snail. Approach an intersection, attempt to accelerate, and notice a gradual increase in speed, followed by an abrupt return to the usual speed after some time. I am completely exasperated with it. I am in dire need of solutions since it instills great fear in me!On the verge of returning the car and forfeiting my deposit and HP.
  6. Indeed, I am aware. A few years back, there was an incident at a BP garage when many automobiles had performance issues after refuelling. The garage denied any wrongdoing, and the local trade standards conducted a gasoline analysis, confirming its quality. However, all parties concerned opted to have the fuel drained and replaced at a different location, resulting in flawless performance. Curiously, the forecourt underwent a comprehensive transformation shortly thereafter. Ultimately, the decision on how to use your funds rests with you. 🙂
  7. I have never succumbed to the notion that retail gasoline is inferior than branded petrol - it is just a fiction. I have been operating motor vehicles for an extensive period of time, beyond my ability to recall the exact duration. Throughout this extensive period, I have encountered just one unfavourable occurrence related to gasoline, which happened at a BP service station. I now prioritise finding the nearest option that offers good value for money, and then proceed to make a purchase. One precaution I take is to refrain from refuelling my vehicle while the tanker is replenishing the petrol station's underground tanks, in order to prevent any potential disturbance of sediment. It seems likely that this is a myth.
  8. Take action, as you will never have any feelings of remorse. I am the proud owner of a 2020 and a 2022 vehicle, both of which have been completely trouble-free. Adhere to the prescribed maintenance regimen.
  9. I really dislike giving up on automobiles, but I would in this particular case. It is possible that you may incur more expenses by repairing it compared to purchasing a new one. In my opinion.
  10. I concur with all individuals, since I had an exceptional encounter with them. My vehicle is operating at 19/20 in order to accommodate the R888, so I cannot confirm whether you are driving at 21's. However, the roads in Colorado are poor, particularly in mountainous areas, and they have borne significant damage without any problems. I own around 13,000 kilometres.
  11. The application for VED at a cost of £0 is already required. eg The car, which was registered in April, will need payment in April 2025. As a September regular, I will not be required to make any payments until September 2025.
  12. Excellent hack, eagerly awaiting the DVLA's response and reversal of the decision.
  13. I am still wondering why you don't purchase a proper dipstick 😉
  14. Excellent! However, the price is just £600, so they will likely reduce it.I really question if the holes have been cut, since they are positioned incorrectly.
  15. If the issue is resolved correctly, it should be just as dependable as any other instance. The warranty supplements your standard consumer rights. The selling dealer is responsible for repairing any faults in the automobile or arranging repairs via the dealer network if necessary. Inquire the dealer currently handling the matter for an update. The absence of communication does not always imply the severity of the situation. They may not have even glanced at it.
  16. Yes, it worked. I will explore it in greater depth over the weekend. Thank you.
  17. Indeed, a really accurate statement!
  18. Please inform me of your progress. I am becoming more frantic as the Audi dealership seems to be completely dumb. Do you also have a YouTube link? Thank you.
  19. I am looking for a professional in automobile water leaks. Do you have any recommendations?
  20. I own a 2017 Audi S6 with a C7 chassis. I have visited my local Audi store six times to repair a leaky panoramic sunroof. The sunroof cassette was removed and the sunroof seals were changed twice, but it is still leaking. The individuals working on it seem to have no idea how to fix the issue. I have spent £1,800 to date and I am fed up with their stupidity. Seeking recommendations for an automotive water leak professional in Lancashire (North West) to resolve this problem. Thank you for any suggestions.
  21. Declined. He is discussing carbon fibre wheels.
  22. My week: March 4-9 The Imola Red build will be the first and last G14 Verts of 2025. Unchanged since 2024.
  23. I found his insights on the EV industry to be thought-provoking, particularly given the impact of 100% first year capital allowances on stimulating sales of luxury EVs priced at £100k or more, which are often undesirable as second-hand options. Furthermore, the government has imposed a compulsory regulation stating that 24% of all new car sales must be electric vehicles (EVs) this year. Consequently, dealerships are reluctant to have used EVs in their showrooms, since they might potentially divert customers from purchasing new vehicles. This is yet another notable instance where government incentives and initiatives have had a direct and opposite impact from what was originally intended.
