It seems like the pressure sensor might be malfunctioning. One is on its way to me; I just placed the order. I'm crossing my fingers that it has a Schrader valve underneath so that the refrigerant can be safely replaced.
-
I just had a new pressure sensor installed on my A205 C200 today. Based on my research, it appears that the air conditioning issues on C Class (and other Merc) are caused by a faulty sensor. I replaced the old one with a new one, and now it's lovely and cold.
-
How about a pressure switch? If you put a digital multimeter across the terminals, I have no idea what the resistance reading will be. The catch is that degassing is required to rectify that.
-
After it was re-gassed and still wasn't working, I was hoping this was the problem, but when I checked, the code was still active and wouldn't clear. The reading is still showing 0, so I'm making an assumption.

I experienced the problem at ATS a few years ago. No leaks detected during the nitrogen test. Damned if it weren't cool. Honestly, I don't know if there were any faults, but after I plugged in the reset codes on my iCarsoft, it started fixing the problem. Possibly a coincidence.

Hi there, Our 2019 W177 A200's air conditioner is malfunctioning at the moment. The air conditioner won't turn on. The problem persists despite a local garage having re-gassed it and checked for leaks. There is a problem with the refrigerant level being too low, according to the OBD tool. It was recently re-gassed after being checked for leaks, so I know it isn't low on gas. There is no reading of 0 for the air conditioning system pressure in the onboard diagnostic monitor. In order to avoid leaking refrigerant, I was hoping to replace the pressure sensor and was wondering if there was a Schrader valve located behind it. Much obliged.

Your toad car is mine. To spend time with our grandkids, we begin RV camping.
-
If I had been in that situation and intended to retain the car, I would have gone out and bought a new seat right away.
-
Sure, I would have gotten a new seat right away if I had been in that situation.

You could try an ozone generator (which costs $50 on Amazon) and an Oxyclean soak. Oxygen is necessary for decomposing organic matter that you are unable to reach.

Requesting a seat from scrapyards would be my next move at this point.

Hello, I need some guidance about a bad thing that happened to my 2023 Mazda CX-30 TPP. While riding shotgun in the front passenger seat on October 3, 2026, an individual experienced a severe case of diarrhoea in the afternoon. While it seemed like most of the poop stayed in her pants and dress, some seeped through and ended up on the seat cushion and lower back. The unfortunate passenger sat motionless for nearly three hours before finally getting up and getting herself cleaned up. While driving home, she changed out of her contaminated pants, re-on her dress and remained seated for another hour. Approximately four hours passed while she was in the seat following the incident. We used Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner to remove the affected areas the next morning. The cleaning cloth did not show any signs of faeces, but there was still a strong smell. I drove around with two bags of activated charcoal in the car for a few days, occasionally cracking the windows open. The stench faded with time, but it lingered close to the wounds. In order to get the inside spotless, I had a mobile detailing service clean it with enzymatic cleaners, steam, shampoo, and ozone on October 6. Though he could clean and extract the upholstery, the detailer said he couldn't dismantle the seat to get to the foam inside. The interior appears to be spotless as of this morning, October 8th. Nevertheless, a portion of the faeces smell is being concealed by the cleaning agents. In particular, the area where the seatback meets the cushion near the bottom is where I can smell it when I bring my nose close to the seat. On rare occasions, I can smell the faeces without bringing my nose close to the seat because of the wind blowing through the right side window while I'm driving. Because of this, going about my daily driving is a real pain. My biggest concern is that the liquid has seeped through the holes in the leather and is now sitting on the foam inside. With the heated seats, passenger occupancy sensors, and side airbags, I'm not sure if calling automotive upholstery shops is the best course of action. My enquiries are as follows: Can the smell be totally eradicated without having to replace the seat or its foam? In order to clean or replace the foam, can an upholstery shop for cars remove the leather covering without damaging the original upholstery? Which one would you suggest: a local mechanic, a Mazda dealership, or an upholstery specialist for cars? Does the presence of airbags, heated seats, or passenger occupancy sensors depend on the foam being removed or replaced? Can I buy just the foam for the passenger seat if it needs replacing, or do I have to get a whole new seat? Does anyone have any similar experience? How much did it cost and what worked in the end? You have my utmost gratitude.

The second generation L551 Evoque, an MHEV (confusingly called MY2020), was introduced in the UK in 2019. There is a 48-volt battery under the passenger seat and a 12-volt one under the hood.
-
Much obliged. This was starting to cross my mind. A backup battery was mentioned in every single post and YouTube video we came across. Going so far as to divide 2019 into two distinct generations
-
To put it simply, the 2019 Evoque did not include an auxiliary battery because they were discontinued in late 2015. Your primary battery under the hood is the source of the warning; before you attempt to charge it, though, you should check the date stamp; if it's more than five years old, the battery is likely dead and won't hold a charge even when parked for long periods or on short trips. The Evoque battery requires a constant 12.7 volts to power all the systems in the background, even when the car is parked and locked. If the voltage drops below that, low battery warnings will be displayed.

The "low battery, start engine soon" message would appear every time I hopped in my car after my auto start/stop feature stopped functioning. Since January of 2025, I have only driven it around 13,000 miles. I figured maybe I just hadn't driven it far enough to get a charge. My transmission light is now on, though, and we've linked everything to the spare battery. We were unable to find the specified battery at either of the provided locations. Where the passenger's foot rests or beneath the cover of the windscreen wiper motor. Is anyone familiar with the precise location of this battery?

In no world would I base my purchase decision on the condition of a car's tires. It will not be around forever. During the pre-sale check, dealers frequently install inexpensive tires. Do they really need to spend that much?
-
I accompanied my brother when he purchased a pre-owned CLS. There was a small puncture that became noticeable during the test drive when the tyre pressure warning light came on. As a condition of the deal, it was agreed that it would be resolved. The salesperson told us that they had just installed new tires that were identical to Pirelli P-Zeros when we went to pick it up. In my opinion, it's up to each dealer to determine their own prep standards.
